Dr. Martens Women's Hurston Fashion Boot

I actually bought these about 8 months ago. I own at least a dozen Boots of this brandI actually had to go down a size in all of the flat boots so that's what I did with this pair.Turns out that was a huge mistake. I should have gone with my normal shoe size that I wear with every other boot instead of going a size downI should have gone with my normal shoe size that I wear with every other boot instead of going a size downBecause I went a size down as you have to do with other styles these were too small. They are it least a size too small. That was pretty depressing because I wanted to wear these so badly. Back then Amazon sold out of the cherry red in size 8 so I actually kept the 7 hoping that I might be able to somehow make them work in the future. So I've never been able to wear them and they are truly gorgeous. Since it has been so long I'm sure they won't exchange for a size up and I can't justify purchasing them again at this price. So my beautiful cherry red boots sit in a Box untouched.So I give these 5 stars because they are 5 star boots on every level. I just made a mistake with sizing. They are unbelievable and probably the best boots that I own as far as looks. One of these days I'm might break down and buy another pair but not today. The ones that I have that are too small I may as well just to have burned that money. Back then these were only 99

Purchased in February 2021. If you’re familiar with docs then you can expect size variance. In Pascal sizes I run closer to a size 7 however I purchased these in a size 6 for fear they would be too roomy and my foot would slide forward. I use to own the Magdalena style but I have thin ankles and they looked too loose on me. Thankfully the elastic band on these shoes makes all the difference in appearance on my ankles. Sizing down was a great option as well since my foot does not slide forward like they did when I purchased and wore the size 7. With that being said I cannot wear thick socks with these shoes however that isn’t necessary, since the durability and quality of the boot will protect my foot from the elements just fine. I can see myself wearing these boots with jeans, dresses, leggings, and more. Highly recommended.

These are actually black cherry color which is exactly what I was looking for. I got a size 7 and I typically wear between 6.5/7. These fit me perfectly! I'd just get your normal size. You can return them for a different size if they are too small or too big.They are so comfortable to walk in and they feel sturdy. I'm used to wearing heels boots so these feel like a dream compared to my other heel boots. I just bought some Dr. Martin shoe shine stuff to keep these nice. I'll update how that goes.My only complaint is that they definitely need to be broken in when you first get them but it only took me a couple of days. Other than that I'd definitely buy them again.Here is some photos to help you guys out. I definitely wanted to see some photos before buying but there weren't very many reviews on this.

Before I ordered these shoes online I was pretty skeptical about the size. I wasn't sure if they would fit. I was so glad when they arrived and was super shocked that they fit perfectly!!! The online size is on point. They took me about 5 days to break into them so my poor feet did suffered a bit but once I broken them I can now wear them all day long and be just fine. I love the quality, the comfort, the material, the size is perfect for me. I am short so I was needed something tall but I can't wear high heel so these chunky shoe is a perfect match for me. I can wear them casual with jeans or dress them up with work pants. Overall, highly recommend these.

I love my docs, I know they run big so I got a size smaller than I usually wear but I would really suggest actually just measuring your feet because even a size smaller is a little bit big. They are super cute and tough as most docs are, but because the heel is so high there is some discomfort in walking in them which you get used to but these boots are not made for walking. I think for heels they're not too bad though, lots of heels make your feet hurt right away and these take a good amount longer in my experience. I think it would really help if you measure your feet properly though just to be safe (I think that would make them more comfortable)

I know Docs run big, as a teen I got a size 8 pair (no heel, classic Doc boots) and wore them all around with a thick pair of socks even though I realized they were too big. (at the time I usually wore 7.5-8 and no one told me to size down)So for these, I thought sizing down to 7 would be perfect, but sadly, they were still too big.I think because these have such a high heel (the heel was actually higher than I anticipated!!) the ball of my foot would slide down too far into the shoe. I tried inserts but it didn't help-- they just made the top of my foot squished. I tried thick socks (even doubling up socks!) but they still hurt my feet. My feet move around and this hurts if you're on your feet a lot and walking around. I would NOT wear to a concert or walking around a lot unless maybe I could be sure I have the perfect size and then even then, they might be too high for a lot of standing/jumping/walking.I want to order more (or even a different variety of Doc boots) but I am reluctant to order a size 6?! Plus they're pricey so it's hard to spend the money again.So... size down!! but maybe even size down an extra size (if your feet are more narrow and your heels aren't very big like mine). Beautiful, stylish, kick-ass boots. I'll keep trying to wear them or give them to someone with bigger feet. :(
