Super warm cap! Great for those cold mornings. Fit was on point. I suggest washing it in cold water by hand with some fabric softer to get rid of the itch of wool. Super comfortable after washing. Material quality is great, I’ve had mine for quite a while now and other than accidentally washing it in hot water, it’s been great. Can’t beat the style of a classic wool watch cap. Looks great and super breathable after that wash in woolite.

The weave is airy, as opposed to dense, creating volume, breathability, and a looser fit. It is the opposite of a beanie. It takes a wide fold and still covers the top of the ears. Great for bigger heads.If you're going for a specific trendy look, you might want to shop retail stores, unless the look you're going for is a sailor in a peacoat. That's what the cap reminds me of. It looks like the type of hat a submariner would wear when the vessel breaches surface ice, and work is being done outside.With the looser fit, it's not going to be great for vigorous activity. It would be suited for cold weather hikes, or a run to the mailbox, or under a parka's hood in very cold weather.

I highly recommend this wool watch cap! It's built very solid, and keeps your head nice and warm! I also love the coyote brown color! The first order I placed had a small hole in the stitching when it arrived. I reached out to the seller and told him, and he sent me another brand new one. Letting me keep the old one that was still functional, just had a small hole about the size of a small pencil eraser. Which to me, tells me this is a solid seller that stands by his product. The second hat I got that he sent as a replacement, was in perfect condition! I've been using the first one with the hole in it and it works just fine. It's a nice warm cap, but it is very itchy. At least for me. Sadly the itchiness kind of ruins it. It's hard to wear for any length of time.

Wool watch caps are exactly what I hoped they would be: a quality product as described on the website. And comfortable to wear.

I have worn a watch cap for decades. They fit best and keep you warm. These are exactly what you want if you want a wool stocking cap. They are comfortable, not itchy, maintain their shape, etc. I have bought numerous ones and have them in multiple colors. As with most or all wool products watch how you wash and dry them.

So as for warmth/quality these are perfectly good, seem like legit surplus beanies and all that. Unfortunately only the olive one actually fits like I prefer (wider cable knits, not as tall of a hat). The black and navy ones I ordered after enjoying the olive one both are longer and have tighter cable knits and fit tighter overall. The olive one actually looks like the picture in the ad, the other two do not. They're still perfectly useful and if you like a beanie with some floppiness on the top or have a lot of hair to store you might prefer this, but for me they're not as good as the olive one (which I love!). Oh well.

This is a classic cover—something that I have been wearing for forty years. It is warm, comfortable, and stretchy to fit—a great value, particularly when you look at more "modern" beanies.
