The best of the best!
Love these x10 headphones! I purchased a second pair of the HDJ-X7-B for my daughter. She loves them too. I wonβt ever realize the extended 30 to 40 kHz frequency range, and neither will anyone else, but there are some noticeable differences that make the X10 better than the x7 outside of that. For one, the case! The case that comes with the X10 is excellent! Second, the detailed sound in the lower end. I can pull out more detail in the lower end audio than with the x7 which makes these ideal for monitoring a concert or loud show for a recording. The x7 has a punchier base though, which some may prefer. The separate ground wires for left and right in the cable is a nice add and the xlr style connection provides a very nice, smooth, and reliable connection. The x7 uses a long 3.5mm connection at the headphone which someone may prefer if they want to plug a wireless Bluetooth receiver into the slot, and forgo a cable completely, but I love the wired connection and the XLR style plug the x10 has. The x10βs xlr style four pin connection is built well and feels like it will outlast the x7 3.5mm connection. The amplified 106db response is a nice feature for the x10, but I question if it really has a 4db gain over the x7βs 102db. A 4 dB gain response should be very noticable and I can barely notice a very slight increase in volume over the x7.In Conclusion: the Pioneer HDJ-X10 product is a better headset than the HDJ-X7 and is worth the extra money for the nice case, extra features and clarity it offeres in the low end. But, if I were a DJ on a budget, I might just grab the x7 and pick up an aftermarket case for it. See my other review for a perfect case to match the x7. But being that I want a nice headphone to enjoy outstanding audio clarity and ones that are portable and can be used to record loud live shows, the x10 is perfect for me. Stay away from the Pioneer HDJ-X5. I originally purchased some for my daughter and returned them for an x7. The x5 is plastic and I doubt if they could hold up to the kind of abuse that the x7 and x10 are built to withstand being an all metal build. The x5 also has inferior sound quality and IMO is not worth the $100 they retail for. Well not all metal, but where it matters anyway.

Stunning and amazing quality.
The media could not be loaded. I can't give these a high enough review. I bought these as a Christmas gift for my boyfriend who is an audiophile and DJ. He mostly loves speakers, but he has been using the same headset for a while with his DJ equipment. He already owns a pair of Airpod Maxes, some Bose headphones, etc. He absolutely loved these. Theyre sturdy with a decent weight to them, but not heavy at all, so theyre comfortable for lomg term use! The ear muffs dont seem replaceable, but they are very comfortable and feel high quality. Im not too familiar with audio stuff, at least not as much as he is, but he states the Bass is amazing and theyre really good for listening to and pucking up on the depth of more complex music. He mainly likes House Music, but he listens to and DJs with all kinds of things. He says theyre his favorite headphones and he uses them everyday, even when hes not DJing. Theyre pricey, for sure, especially if you arent a dj or into audio stuff, but theyre such good quality. I did a ton of research before buying, but even then, they surprised me. My boyfriend has been raving about them and telling me cool things and little bits of info about what they do well etc since I gave them to him. Nothing is worth more than seeing how happy it made him. Highly recommend!

The only cans you need!
I can't stress enough on the build quality. I dj with these on twitch, and take them everywhere. I've dropped them, knocked them up against things, and they will.. not... break. Sound quality is amazing and my Pioneer xdj xz pushes these head phones to the limit. Your ear drums will break before these do. This purchase is one of my very favorites π

Best headphones ever!
Now I've been DJing for over 20 years and I used to work with Pioneer. I just upgraded my headphones from the older HDJ2000's. The 2000's were way ahead of their time and mine still work great but these new X10's BLOW them away. I now use them strictly for music production. These are the best money can buy, hands down. Don't make excuses. Just get them especially if you DJ or make music. Even if you just like listening to music really loud like I do, you will love these as I do
