great product
Egg cookers come in many styles. Different designs make boiled, poached and scrambled eggs, and some even make patties for easy breakfast sandwiches. In just a few minutes, you can make one or several eggs to eat right away or save for another day. Cooking Options One of the most important features to look for in an egg cooker is what types of eggs it can cook. If you love breakfast sandwiches, look for a cooker that cooks cracked eggs, preferably in a round shape to fit your English muffin or sliced bread. Most countertop egg steamers can make boiled or poached eggs in under 20 minutes. Boiled egg options include soft-, medium- and hard-boiled. Timers Each cooker notifies you of a finished cooking cycle in different ways. Some cookers alert you with an audible signal that tells you to turn the machine off. Others shut themselves off when the cooking is finished. A few models even have a feature to keep the eggs warm until you're ready for them. Some electric egg cookers have a timer on the machine that you can watch; however, most models base cook times on how much water you put in the bottom of the machine. Number of Eggs Another important feature is how many eggs a cooker can prepare at once. Electric cookers often hold one to 12 eggs in a cooking cycle. Microwave egg cookers, however, usually hold up to four eggs at a time. If you're cooking for a large family every day or you like to keep hard-boiled eggs in the fridge for a snack, having a cooker that can handle a dozen eggs at once may save you time. Whether you make eggs for the health benefits or as a tasty snack, electric cookers make it easy to cook them in a variety of ways using steam or your microwave. Find the best egg cooker that fits your lifestyle and family at a price that also fits your budget.

Accurate measure for desired boiled egg consistency
Finally I got an egg boiler that makes a perfect medium egg. The measures are accurate on this one. My previous egg boiler had measures where I had to experiment which line would make an egg where the egg yolk is soft but the white is fully cooked. I don’t like runny egg white! The reason why I removed a star is because the handle is akward and hard to puzzle together and take apart. Also it heats up and you need a kitchen towel or gloves to remove the top after boiling. Otherwise, compact design and ideal for small space.

Fantastic Love Love Love 🥰
Excellent - Absolutely love this egg boiler. I know there are some reviews talking about the old lid but it’s now metal and works brilliantly. Also some reviews mentioned the confusion regarding how much water. I think they misunderstood the instructions. All you have to do is follow the markings on the water measure cup - Soft egg and how many you are cooking in the machine- medium and hard boiled the same - It’s marked under each up to 7 which is the highest number of eggs it takes. We cooked 4 eggs and we want them soft boiled so go to soft markings on the water cup and fill to number 4 level. Time saving as you don’t have to watch it. Safer in our caravan as you don’t have a pan of boiling water to deal with and just a quick wipe down with a clothe afterwards- no pan washing. Easy to transport as it’s small in size so we can take it on holiday BUT definitely bringing it back from the caravan when we come home. I would miss it if I left it in the caravan, which is in storage. We LOVE it 🥰

Boiler very good quality but measuring cup and instructions are poor
Construction is excellent. Stainless steel is easy to keep clean. Steam escapes during cooking which doesn't seem right. Markings on cup are impossible to read and so close together accuracy is impossible. Suggested quantities of water seem a bit small as boiled eggs are undercooked. Weighing water for accuracy still produces undercooked result. Instructions are poor. Table for boiled eggs is completely wrong. Volumes for hard and soft are wrong way round. Instructions for 2 poached eggs are given but what about 1,3 or 4? Overall pleased with quality of machine but operation does not match old cheap one which gave perfect results for 10+ yrs.

Look NO Further - This is THE Egg Boiler You Have Been Looking For
I'm not really one to leave reviews. However, having just polished off a couple of quite perfectly medium done boiled eggs (see the attached photo for hard evidence that this event really did just happen), I felt compelled to share with my fellow online consumers that this is the correct egg boiler to purchase. Just to clarify, I am in no way being paid by Andrew James to endorse this product. In fact, I'm pretty sure Andrew James would have absolutely no idea who I was. And the funny thing is, reciprocally I also have no idea who Andrew James is. Who is the man behind the egg boiler? Anyway, I digress. The facts are though that we had originally purchased a Salter egg boiler from another retailer. I'm not going to name them but let's just say that they operate a sort of consession stand within a major UK supermarket's stores. The boiler was okay. In fact quite similar in design to the one that Andrew James came up with, albeit perhaps looking slightly cheaper looking with the clear plastic cover. However the key failing of that device and the main reason why you should look no further and go with Andrew's contraption, is that it lacked a buzzer sound for when the eggs were ready!! Now, if you're looking to purchase an egg boiler for convenience (as surely everyone is) then not having a buzzer is a massive failing. It effectively means you have to stand watch over the machine waiting for a little indicator light to silently switch off. Absolutely useless if you are doing other things at the same time, such as making toast perhaps or preparing coffee. Suddenly your soft or medium boiled eggs are boiled hard. HARD. And furthermore, the heating plate will stain burn as the water has evaporated, leaving a rather nasty brown stain, which if you had to come across at all, you'd rather it was elsewhere. Therefore, avoid all these potential headaches which you'd be experiencing every single time you used the thing, and make the wise choice by selected Andrew James' superior machine.
