Great device to measure machine RPM
The device is easy to install and it came with instructions. You will need a suitable 12v power supply (I used an old network router's power supply) to provide 12v power to the device. I mounted the display in an aluminium enclosure to make it look neater and to protect the electronics. The device works well, however, it is a little slow to update its display especially when stopping the machine. Well worth fitting to a milling machine/lathe/pillar drill or similar.

Easy to set up
Bought this to fit onto my wood lathe which had no speed read-out. The display unit is small enough to fit in a small ABS box, and the sensor lead is easily deployed

It works - ish
Does not appear to be very acurate at low speeds, my lathe should on slow run at 750 revs but this reads1200, top end readings dont seem far out and why cant it come in an enclosed casing?

Cheap and does the job
The item was purchased to replace a RPM count system in a (hobby) machine tool, entirely on the chance that I could make it fit and work!. I made the conversion, followed the instructions and it works pretty good, yes it takes a little time to settle and clear back to zero but it does tell you that in the 'paperwork' Criticisms, none really, the instruction sheet does have a slightly misleading piece of info on it but if your awake and paying attention, you will spot that. Good value, quickly delivered.

Didn’t work
Sadly it did not work

Works very well with good installation info.
I compared this to a calibrated mechanical tachometer and it is very accurate.
