A fantastic product and excellent value!
As you can tell from the title review, I rate this product as BRILLIANT! My child is 6 years old in 2 months and I wish I'd bought this earlier as she has taken to it instantly. I home-educate my child and this is one of the best learning aids I have. Being able to pick up the words and place them on the magnetic board has made it easier for her to not only grasp sentence structure but also to retain the knowledge of learning sight words. She particularly enjoys placing the words in a sentence and then writing it out beneath them using the supplied pen in each pack. I do not teach her using the phonics system and rather through the "old fashioned" style of sight word recognition, which works better for her, and this has just helped us plough ahead without being bored by printed pages in a book. I also bought the KS1 & KS2 pack as she knows more words than is in the Reception pack and with both combined it has just made learning (and teaching) so much more enjoyable for both of us. I genuinely can't fault it, hence the 5 stars.

Great quality!
I bought these magnetic word tiles along with the Year 1 word list for my Year 1 class at school. They have lasted really well, still intact after 2 years of use in a busy classroom. The font is clear and suitable for children. I use them with small groups or pairs of children (they would be too small to use with the whole class) to play games as well as for compiling sentences or matching words.I would really recommend these magnetic word tiles.

Fab item, great for car journeys!
I bought this to keep my sin busy on along car journey and he absolutely loves it! We take it out to restaurants too. I gave it four stars as you have to be careful how you initially take the pieces apart - some came away from the magnet. There was a note to tell you how to prevent this but I only saw this after.

Excellent tool for children to learn with
This is an excellent tool for children to learn with. I bought it for my 3yr old daughter who will be starting reception in September because my husband & I wanted her to learn them before she starts schoolShe's using it to practice writing - alphabet & writing numbers at the back of the magnetic board which is blank. She has also used the blank section to practice writing her names. We are also using the chunky pieces for her to learn how to read- we use the tiles to make up sentences & ask her to repeat it. Moved the tiles around & ask her to put them in correct order. There's a lot of activities to do with this & we can't fault it all. She now recognises some words & constantly asking to do her writing. It's very engaging & it keeps her interested in learning. The pen that came with it dried out but my husband bought some chunky markers (assorted colours) from a pound shop & it does the job brilliantly. She uses one colour for the alphabets & a different colour for writing numbers. She recently said to me 'mummy this is sooo fun' & I'm 100% in agreement with her.The order was delivered on time & in good condition. However I would have preferred if the tiles had a small box so you can put it in a box after use. I have improvised by putting them in a small bag.Thank you so much as you have a happy mum & an intelligent little girl that wants to learn

This is ok
Bought for my grandaughter to help her with Math. Should have read the detail as to me there are not enough components and I’m looking for something that will add to this o

Very useful
These magnetic National Curriculum words are great. They help children and adults to learn to read the words in our common vocabulary that are not pronounced phonetically but are used from an early age or stage. They make words more physical and less abstract. The child can win the word if they can read it as it is a concrete item to hold. Extra words may be added to make sentences. The days of the week and months of the year can easily be placed in order and the same endings can then be seen more easily. The magnetic board was great to use but any metal surface like a fridge would work or simply on a table too,

Magnetic Words and Board for Reception Year
I just bought this for my little boy who has just started reception. He has played with it on and off all weekend and has learned to read 11 words from it already. Not all of the words he is supposed to learn for school are included though; but I suppose every school is slightly different. His list for school includes "not" and "here" which are not included in this pack but we just write them on the board next to the other ones. He likes sorting them into lists of words he knows and then ticking them off like they do at school. Very educational and fun too.
