Excellent shaving soap. Good scent, fantastic creamy lather, good bowl and looks as though it will last quite a long time. Very pleased and excellent value too plus prompt delivery.

Proraso Green (Menthol)
In my opinion this shaving soap has a nice fresh menthol scent to it. I found it incredibly easy to load using a boar hair shaving brush due to the fact that it is a cross between a shaving soap and a shaving cream. It is so soft you can push your finger through it.On the first pass my initial reaction was that the menthol scent was there but, I couldn’t feel the cooling sensation you would expect. However after removing a layer of hair and re-lathering for my second pass the cooling sensation was very strong and quite enjoyable. On my third pass it was like ice. After three passes with my straight razor, the Proraso green provided great cushion, slickness, scent and cooling sensation for my shave. The post shave feeling left my face feeling fresh and protected. I used post shave balm just in case as I have sensitive skin but, this is in no way criticizing the post shave feel of the soap it was just me being cautious. The ingredients in this soap did not irritate my skin after the shave however, if you are not willing to risk it I know they do a white version specifically for sensitive skin. I do recommend you try this as it is a great soap and it did not have an effect on my sensitive skin.I have taken a picture of the ingredient list in an attempt to answer some of your sensitive skin questions.I tested this soap with both hard and soft water. It liked the soft water a lot more than the hard however it was excellent with both. I tried shaving with a shavette, straight razor and double edged razor. It felt protecting and slick with both. This soap has impressed me and I will be purchasing a Proraso red (sandalwood) soap next to give that a try. The soaps I have used in the past are Arko shave stick, Palmolive cream and shave stick and the Wilkinson Sword blue tub (let's never speak of this one again). It provided a similar lather to the Arko maybe a little bit slicker and it definitely smelled better. The slickness was similar to the Palmolive shaving cream and the cushion was similar to the Palmolive shave stick. I’m not sure if these comparisons mean anything to you but it never hurts to share experience with fellow wet shavers regardless.

Excellent product.
Lathers up really well, lasts a long time and is excellent value for money. Better than other shaving creams and soaps I’ve used in the past.

A luxurious shave
This is remarkable. For men who embrace the ceremony of shaving, the soap is critical. The foam should be luxurious but consolidated. It serves little purpose if it's too light and frothy, or cluggy and doesn't adhere to the stubble properly. This is where shaving cream in a can falls short, and a brush and soap are best. I've tried various shaving soap bars, most British in source (or claim), and most did the trick to a degree. I started using the Proraso pre-shave cream a while back when I couldn't find the British equivalent of a pre-shave cream I used called Prep, and was already using the Proraso Wood & Spice After Shave balm, so I thought I'd give the shaving soap in a bowl a go. I am so glad I did. It is next-level luxurious, and when worked in with the shaving brush, the menthol and eucalyptus oil make it cool and soothing. The foam is not frothy like some soap bars produce; it is cream-like. This improves the actual shave. Combined with the other two Proraso products mentioned, I now have a go-to kit that makes shaving a pleasure instead of a chore.
