Do you need to use with medication or can you just add water to unblock a blocked nose (for example)?

Don't listen to the idiots in the comments. It's a nebulizer, it can nebulize just about any liquid, water included. The fact that people think this can't nebulize water, but it can nebulizer water with salt in it (which is all that saline is) means that people don't know what they're talking about.

is this quicker than a standard hospital nebulizer which can take ten minutes or more?

A 2.5ml saline dose with this nebulizer takes 6 minutes..

How is this product and does it come with a child and adult mask?

I’ve been really pleased with the nebuliser. Yes it has both child and adult face masks as well as the mouth only attachment to just inhale through the mouthpiece. It’s very nice quality, not too noisy compressor, but I think they all seem to make a bit of a racket. But really, if you were looking to use this whilst resting etc, the noise isn’t a problem at all.
