Buyers should be aware that the instrument they will receive might well be different from the picture.The manufacturers have changed the design so that the new models are without any pegs on the left side of the instrument.The new model is also without metal strips protecting the wood over which the strings are stretched.As the product I received was different from the model pictured both on Amazon and on the box it came in, I thought I'd been sent a faulty model, and contacted the Chinese manufacturers. They say that the new design makes it sound better. The manufacturers are very decent and sent me a replacement, but the replacement was pegless down the left side too.The lack of pegs to the left side and lack of protective strips means that the taught strings dig into the wood (see photo), which over time might be a problem. However, the instrument does stay in tune very well and the nylon strings sound beautiful. I was very skeptical at first, but now I'll give it a 5 star rating even though I'm still not sure about the strings digging in, but so far I am surprised to be very pleased with it and now, after a few weeks, I feel I can recommend it!As far as I am aware, this is the only nylon strung little zither/harp available and it's delightful..

When the item arrived I was disappointed to find that strings are not the same distance from each other, some have more spacings between than others which clearly is not right. Other than that it's a nice instrument to make the first steps in music. Doesn't keep in tune very well, so need tuning up quite often which is not much of a problem for me, but might be for others. My advice would be to invest in a bit more expensive version and get a better quality instrument.

Really lovely toy

This is an excellent smal instrument. It sounds good, and our 6 year old daughter has really taken to it. As has our 2 year old, for whom we have gotten another.

This is an excellent product. Very sturdy and solid. I’m delighted that I bought it for my grandchildren and they love the gentle sound it makes.

Poor quality and didn’t sound anything like a musical instrument. You only get what you pay for.

Bought for my 6 year olds birthday. Product came with song sheets of songs that he already knew and loved being able to open his present and play a tune straight away. (After we had tuned it!)
