a sweet mellow magical sound and quality always wanted but never fortunate enough to come across.a truly emotive sound that will
hey you know these head phones are really lovely.very comfortable to wear and yes beautifully balance and well made.Of course germans are known to make the best of the best when it comes to build and design.the sound has a base that is deep clear with a tone to it and a scale that covers the whole audio range.not like some head phones that the base just disappears when you expecting and looking forwards to more. mid lane and perfect and tremble sparkles not too bright or harsh the overall sound is smooth and full of flow and energy but not over powering.a sweetest and mellowness that keeps you coming back for endless hours of free of fatigue listening.having listened to many head phones i no longer feel the need to look for any other head phones to please me further.i have met my ideal partner that satisfies and makes me complete and content.they go loud without distortion.a note of importance is they are not that efficient to drive so will sound too quite using on a i phone or i pod. you need to use a head phone amp and if you use a dragon head phone doc or portable sony doc head amp you will be blown away with the sound quality.a kind of space pace and dimension that is outstanding and out of this world. don't bother listening to what other comments and suggestions come from other products just give this a try and i promise you be so pleased you listened and taken my advice.you can pay may time the price more and not find that magical sound long yearned for.

High-end Low-profile must have
You can't go wrong with these because every bit is replaceable in these modular modern classic. I'm using 250 Ohm version for years already and bought this one to use with mobile phone and low-power portable devices. Light weight, comfortable fit, decent ambient noise isolation, humble look and Beyerdynamic sound - not just dry monitoring but instead lots of detail and resolution on high frequency, clear low end and hate it or love it - gentle emphasis on mid range which makes music sound musical and speech more human. Recommended to those who needs reference monitoring accuracy with human approach. Everything about these headphones is designed for long long hours of use without physical pain and hearing irritation.

Big Bang for Big Bucks
I wear headphones for at least half my working day. Comfort is very important to me as well as fidelity. I changed jobs in 2011 and got to use a pair of these headphones which had been discarded in the new office. I would never have bothered buying headphones costing outside the £20-£40 range but when I moved office and lost access to the headphones I decided I had to have my own pair. If you spend 25+ hours a week wearing headphones then I would say it is worth shelling out for years of comfortable high-fidelity listenerising.

Good but with one flaw that may be a deal breaker for some
these are comfy, not exactly dull over the ear... I'm lucky I've a smaller head and smaller ears. Someone larger may find they're more on-ear. Sound you can't fault them. Dynamic, great bass, lovely rich mids, good treble extension without ever being fatiguing. Sometimes they'll blow you away on certain songs. The downside is the soundstage isn't particularly large, not a deal-breaker and they are closed-back... but I've other closed backs that are slightly more open. So classical lovers, even tho all the detail is there, don't expect ultra wide stereo imaging. Depth and front to back tho is very good.Great all-rounder, brilliant bass for bassy music, great for jazz down to detail. Aggressive for rock - that doesn't mean fatiguing - means they give it the energy required.FLAW - This has been mentioned many times and it is true, unfortunately... the right side is slightly louder, there is an imbalance. It's not so noticeable due to the soundstage not being mega wide, but once you notice it you struggle at times to forget. It doesn't mean the left side is near the middle, it is strictly just a volume difference. Time will tell if I can put up with it... if I can't I may have to return them sadly. I'm trying to burn them in a bit to see if that helps (tho tbf I'm not that convinced burn-in is actually a thing. I am open to it, but I think brain burn-in is more legit).

Fantastic
Had these for about a month now. Seemed to be going through £30(ish) headphones every couple of years, so thought time to spend lots and spend once! These sound phenomenal, when pushed by something with enough power, the force of the sound on these things is mind blowing! Sure you can listen to music on these from your iPhone, it won't be particularly loud, but very listenable, but using these with a computer / amp or turntable / amp is where they come alive.Obviously to get the most out of these you need good source material. Having switched from 256kbps MP3s and £30 headphones to FLAC audio and these Beyerdynamics, the difference is very noticeable. They're pretty big, but not so big that you look like a loon on the tube. Much more suited to a studio / home. Looking forward to re-listening to some of my vinyls on these and hearing all new things!

Beyerdynamic DT250 headphones
These Beyerdynamic DT250 headphones are more comfortable than previous headphones I've had and allow me to really isolate the detail when editing audio; which has made a huge difference in my editing process. However, after having them for less than a year there seems to be a loose connection and the sound often only comes out of one headphone, which is disappointing given the price.

The right headphones at the right price - he reasons why
I already had a pair of these headphones - vintage about 7 years. I bought this new pair for a friend for several reasons. They are serious studio reference headphones was the first reason. The second reason was how much can be replaced. I was fed up with headphones that had cable faults - in sealed in parts with the headset - or even a new cable is available but for half the price of the headphones. These headphones are a classic, stand the test of time and sound great. The isolation is phenomenal as well, so you can listen at a good volume while people near you hear nothing. Highly recommended.
