This should really fit over the reduced circumference/male end of the tube I.E. it's 5" diameter, the same as the tube. However, as these point downwards on my chimney I had to crimp the top of the tube with mole grips and then the cowl fitted on snuggly. The top part is extra wide so should stop sideways rain unlike other cowls I've seen. A well made product.

Fits fantastic , just wish bolts were black to so less noticeable.

Well designed clamps well with the bolting arrangement, large diameter disc preventing water ingress. Good inexpensive product would buy more but only need one!

So easy to install and so much better than ones with spindly legs that fit inside. 50mph winds - doesn't budge
