It's basically a pack of cards in a little canvas bag so yes, durable I guess. It is much smaller than it looks in the pictures and i was very disappointed when I got it - far to small to be the gift for the person I bought if for, however I opened it myself and played with with my step daughter and it was good fun.

Which set is best for age range 4-8yrs.

Hi, I bought Gofindit to use with Pre school children ( 3.5 to 4.5 years old ) Some of the cards were a bit tricky so I had to sort then first before playing. So I think the cards would work quite well with 4-8 years generally.

Are the cards the same size as standard playing cards? If not, what are the dimensions please?

Yeah the same size as playing cards. This game is brilliant. We had so much fun playing it on a camping trip.
