Firstly fantasic value and very speedy delivery! Drill is as you'd expect from DeWalt a quality professional item.The drill itself is of a very compact nature and has good torque / speed. 13mm Metal chuck is useful. Batteries (18v 2Ah) seem to last for ever ..so far have worked for 4 days on the first one! Lithium batteries being considerably lighter than Na Cd. and hopefully not as 'memory mappable'.Be aware that this drill has no impact / hammer setting so is for screw driving / drilling duties only. Exactly what I bought it for, as I find working all day one handed, the additional weight of a hammer drill a bit wearing, prefering to have 2 tools specific to the task required.Currently in use by Exhibition / Interior contractor

Fantastic drill. Nice andSmall, which is great for those small spaces. The Battery life is exceptional. I used this to remove 3 storage heaters and it did the Job easy. When it comes to power, this thing is a BEAST. As for the settings, just read the description. The worklight is awesome. The carry case this comes in is tough. No worries if you drop it. Check out Dewalt tool boxes. Dewalt have done themselve proud with this one. So enough from me. Go and Buy it!!!!!!!!

I bought this drill in September 2015 and only started using it 15 months later to do a very small job screwing a few screws in. It lay in the box for all that time and i had never charged the batteries.I now recently used it for both drilling and screw fixing and it still went like a bomb, I must say I was totally impressed!! (still haven't charged the battery)The carry case is very sturdy and well made.The only possible problem that I notice is that the chuck sometimes loosens very easily and I just hope it doesn't become a problem in the future. I bought this drill on Amazon from Tools4Trade to replace my old Bosch cordless drill. The first drill delivered was faulty which Tools4Trade are in no way to blame because the Dewalt case was sealed when I received it. The company replaced it and picked up the faulty drill within 48hrs at no extra cost to myself making them in my books an exceptionally good company to deal with and any further equipment I buy will always come from them.The initial drill, a Dewalt DCD790D2-GB was purchased to replace my old Bosch drill and arrived within 48hrs of ordering. Although the box was slightly larger than the product and contained no protective packaging inside the box the item was in perfect condition. The second replacement drill arrived exactly the same only it was not faulty like the first one.The drill itself!If I forget the faulty one, its replacement frightened me to death. I am not a builder nor am I even a massive DIY enthusiast so I thought all drills of this type were the same with some just having more bells and whistles than others making them more expensive. This drill has so much torque its frightening. Its light and well balanced in your hand with a light directed at the point of impact. I have never bothered using the different clutch settings on my Bosch when using it with screws but with the Dewalt I have to use the different clutch settings due to the torque it has. On the drill setting it has enough torque to drill into most materials a normal human being will encounter in his or her lifetime and even though it does not have a hammer drill function it will still drill a hole in most masonry materials on normal drill the normal drill setting.I love this drill and if anyone is in doubt as to its quality don't be as you will not be disappointed and if you buy through Amazon from Tools4Trade they are superb to deal with.

This is the 4th/5th battery drill I have owned. It is by far the best drill I have ever used for times between charges, its power & ease of use. As a carpenter/joiner by trade I use it on a daily basis & it is now my indispensible friend. Thank you Dewalt, it is not often I give compliments but your drill sure deserves this one.
