exceptional value for money
Firstly let me start by saying i am pleasantly surprised. the image is bright and sharp with hardly any haze on the outer edges. i bought these for star gazing and will try them out tonight, however on testing it on an overcast frosty morning, i could clearly see detail in the trees on the furthest visible tree tops and noticed more birds than i ever new were actually out and about. the icy rooftops looked incredibly detailed and i must say i am blown away. i did not expect this level of clarity for the money.the furthest visible leafless tree tops had a very slight green fringe coming off the wood, however i cant be sure if its moss of a slight bit of aberration, it was so faint i doubt it would put off any bird watcher. i will give further feedback once i have been out star gazing to confirm if this is evident.build quality is more than expectable and much lighter than i thought they would be, but still has a good weight.the strap, carry case and lens caps are basic but one comes to expect it for the money, in no way does it effect its performance. i will more than likely invest in a better strap and tripod adaptor. it does look like the lens caps can be easily lost so take care.all and all i will use these for many years to come and doubt i would need another pair to replace thesei give it 5 stars as i feel it is exceptional value for money at this price range with a nice crisp imageUpdate.. have taken it out star gazing and could not be happier with my purchase, the orion constellation showed many hidden objects with the famous nebula as a fuzzy patch. jupiter looked like a big star and i could clearly see 3 of its moons.love it and can only highly recommend it. best value and performance in this price range

Good quality binoculars at a fair price
I had seen many good reviews of these binos and was not disappointed. Bought as a christmas present for my wife you wants to get into star observation.

Good product from a trusted manufacturer
I've owned a pair of Celestron NatureDX 10x42s I take camping for some time, so when I wanted a cheap, small pair of binoculars to keep in my backpack naturally I went back to this manufacturer. They are actually a little bigger than I expected, too big for trouser pockets, but would slip in a coat pocket okay. This is not a bad thing, they are still small & light enough not to notice they are in my BP, but big enough not to be fiddly & too sit on the eyes well, compared to x21 bins i've had in the past. Well made, easy to use & decent view... for the price-point, of course.

This is a great pair of well engineered Binoculars - Reccomend.
Fine pair of binoculars !I had a very small amount of trouble locking the strap securely, but may well have been me.10x is perfect with a 50mm objective lensThis means it is great for all day activities, sport, bird watching etc...And...great for the night when these really enhance the celestial objects, ... though knowing where to look may be useful, a random glance on any clear night is very rewarding.

Fantastic!!
Being a complete novice, I did some research and originally ordered two pairs of Olympus 8x40 DPSI binoculars. When they came, the prism was offset and the inter-pupillary distance was too wide for my eyes so could not get a single focus. Item returned (see Olympus review).I then ordered two pairs of Celestron 10x50 binoculars (based on the reviews and price). I learnt about the technology and these had a larger magnification with a wider aperture allowing for more light to enter, so viewing dimmer objects, These also promised a narrower field of view.Eagerly awaited (as setting off in couple of days), they arrived. We followed the easy instructions to set up the separate eye pieces and used coloured string to identify each set per person (if same person using, this does not then have to be re-set). Then we used them on the garden and liked them. The focus ring is also easier to move than the Olympus.Well did they work?? Yes! The first animal viewed was a male wild tiger whilst on safari in India! What a view (difficult to see with the naked eye in long grass) but we could see his teeth and detail very clearly. Fantastic!! We also used the binoculars on other animals and could see feathers and talons on owls and large birds of prey etc. Amazing detail. Our guides also borrowed these (even though we were at back) to try to locate animals. They chose these over the other people's. Need I say more! The only downside - is the strap could be wider, but I put the strap over my camera one so the weight was distributed. This can easily be remedied by purchasing a wider strap. Both myself and my husband didn't know anything about binoculars until I did a bit of research, but would thoroughly recommend these to all. Well worth it (and bonus as cheaper too).

Below average
Received in good order, no problem there, however I bought these based on reviews and the add..The finish feels cheap, the actual viewing seems way out of balance Vs many other binoculars I've used in the past.

Excellent choice for the occasional birdwatcher
I thought it was time to invest in a half decent pair of binoculars to take my rank amateur birdwatching to the next level. After much deliberation I went for these as a well known brand at a decent price (you can pay twice as much elsewhere). Image is good, occasional fringing, focus is crisp and diopter adjustment good. 8x40 is recommended by most in the know as the optimal spec for birdwatching and they have proved to be the case, not too powerful to show up your shakes and light enough to hold up for long periods. Neck strap is a bit thin but I have a guitar strap on order to address that (99p from eBay! ). As many have said, with binoculars there is a law of diminishing returns. Pay twice much as this and you won't get twice the quality of image. Having tried £70 pairs there is a marginal difference but for the occasional user is it worth it? Overall they have to rate 5 stars.
