The media could not be loaded.  Just arrived today and I'm pleased with it on first impression, it's fairly solid construction, solid wood that seems to be acacia as promised, and a good size with a useable top surface area.No sign of splitting or separating like other reviews complained of, and in an effort to prevent that from happening later the first thing I did though was to give it a good coat of cutting board oil (food grade mineral oil) because I live in a dry climate. Acacia is a tropical wood that needs humidity, and I have other acacia cutting boards and things that require more frequent oiling than my other wood boards. This box immediately started taking up the oil really well, who knows how long it was in the warehouse in Denver, and now it's still going to be in my fairly low-humidity house. I'm going to let it sit and soak the oil for some time before drying it off, but I think it's going to look and work great. The oil also has really made the wood grain shine and darken into a lovely color, it looked great before but far better now. I'm going to plan on taking care of this like I do my other acacia things and oiling it a couple times a year. Fingers crossed that this will prevent any of the problems that others have reported, time will tell!

Well built, real wood, practical size and shape.Already assembled.Unsure how well it keeps bread from going stale…

I absolutely love this bread box. I make sourdough and I can fit two homemade loads in it. The only downside is it seemed like mine was a previous return or something because it had a small chip in the wood.

I love the look and the size .The magnet latch could be beefed up a bit would be my only upgrade.

Nice heavy weight. Pretty wood. I really reallywant to give this a good review, but the front door just ruins the whole thing because it is awful, and that is what you see when you look at it.The door is uneven, it is about 1/4" higher on one side. The edges of the door are all beat up. The door hinge area of the door is extremely poorly cut... it is really bad. The door doesn't close properly, so one of the magnets never even engages because there is a 1/8" gap between the door and the magnet. Why make the box so nice, then throw on a garbage door? Extremely unfortunate.

Got this because our cats are weird and kept chewing on the bread bag, even though they know they aren’t allowed on the counter (so naughty) this was the perfect size to fit on the counter underneath the cupboards and it matched the aesthetic I was going for as well. Honestly, never had a bread box before but remember my grandma always having one. I see a difference in the freshness and length of freshness with the bread products using a bread box. I can fit a few things inside at a time I think I have like a half loaf of bread, a 6 pack of bagels, and an 8 pack of onion rolls in there now and it fits fine. No issues noted.

This is very attractive, it blends in to my kitchen well, and I can use the top of it to stack my spices on.
