HERITAGE 1KG STURGEON STERLET FISH FOOD PELLETS PREMIUM SINKING POND FEED TENCH KOI 4-6MM (1KG)

I've bought this twice now for my fish during the summer even though I don't have any sturgeon in my fish pond but I do have some bottom feeders and they do seem to like it. My koi didn't seem to keen on it as they prefer floating food in the summer so they didn't touch the food but some of your other fish might do if you do have sturgeon or any other bottom feeding fish in your pond. What I did was put the normal floating summer food in first and then put this in few seconds later in a different part of my pond.Also this is a high protein food so just be careful if you're using this along with floating food that's also high in protein if your other fish do eat this along with their normal summer food

I bought this as an alternative to my usual Nishkoi sinking starlet food, which is 40% protein. The Heritage food is clearly advertised as "High in Protein (42%) " but in fact what came was labelled as only 34% protein. I should have known better, as one other reviewer made this comment, but in view of so many positive reviews I thought that might have been a one-off mistake. I should have known better.Too much hassle to go to the effort of sending it back for the sake of a £6.95 refund, but you live and learn.I would also comment that my sterlets do not seem to be eating it with anywhere near the enthusiasm they normally have for food, so I would conclude that they don't particularly like it.I won't be buying again.

Cheaper than buying it from a shop, don,t mind the plastic bag it comes in. After all its still the same product.
