Brilliant saw, worth every penny and a far better option than a full size circular saw for most jobs.
This has genuinely changed the way I cut sheet wood. I have previously used a large circular saw which was unwieldy and inprecise, as well as a jigsaw which would lead to wonky lines, but I've just built a desk out of 24mm hardwood plywood and every angle and edge is perfectly straight. The blades are easy to swap and it sits well in the cut, being plenty powerful enough for most jobs. Just let the saw do the work. I tried pushing (forcing) it through some thicker wood and it slowed right down, but realised what I was doing and eased up on the forward pressure, letting the tool cut its way through at its own speed and it worked brilliantly. The vacuum attachment makes a huge difference to the amount of wood shavings that are spat out as well, so use it! Highly recommended.

Impressive little unit
Powerful piece of kit with ease of use. Very simple and safe blade changing system and good selection with the three blades included. Tile/Brick, Sheet metals and Timber. Used the Tile/Brick to cut a channel in Sand and Cement render leaving a very neat finish. Wood blade sliced easily through 18 mm Ply again leaving a good standard of finish. The whole thing comes in a robust purpose made blow moulded case. I thought this would be reasonable and have been more than happy with the standard of quality and power from what is a quite small unit. Highly recommended.

A good addition to anyones collection of power tools!
Having used many power tools over the years I tend to stick to the usual trade brands but for once, because of the features, the main one been the depth of cut, I decided to give this a try and I was pleasantly surprised!Firstly, it makes a nice change for the case it comes in to have enough room along with the blades etc to get the lead back in without ending up trying to tuck it in and lean on the lid while you fasten it so good marks for that.the instructions are line drawings with a bit of a (small) text guide near the back of the booklet, but as usual could have been a little clearer re the spindle lock for changing the blades but that was easy enough to figure out.At 2kg this is really light compared to the normal saws and feels easy in the hand, at 400watts it also does not "buck" in the hand when you start it so it should not scare you to death with a great dollop of torque! that said it did make me wonder if it had enough power so tested it with the HSS blade for a finer cut on a one inch piece of hardwood, taking it steady, it cut easily and cleanly. As usual the mark on the guide plate is a bit wooley but a bit of getting to know it better should present no problems. So no major issues so far, it is light easy to handle, pretty tame but does the job.The reason for the four stars is the "dead mans" switch. it is simplicity itself to use but the orange toggle you press before the main switch on the handle does seem flimsier than it should be, I know this is made for the DIY'er but it will still get some rough use and I wonder if this part will last. It is all very well giving a three year (limited) warranty but really- who wants to have to go through the e mailing, packing and waiting for it to be repaired and then sent back? So, all in all a great little saw, lets see how well built it really is over time.

Excellent tool very easy to use and cut through wood ...
Excellent tool very easy to use and cut through wood like a knife through butter. I got mine working within 5 minutes of unboxing really only need to attach appropriate saw blade and to double check its fastened on right way. Mine came with UK plugUpdate. Had mine almost a year in that time its never let me down still on same blade even though I have used it a fair bit to cut cls timber and wood for my woodstove.Lent to to a builder today doing my roof with ply and he loves it too as you can alter the depth of the cut so it only cuts want you want rather than say joists

it ruined 6 shelves and had to buy new ones
For a compact circular saw it has both depth of the cut and angle of the cut adjustable, which is nice. It also comes with an addon which should help guide the blade so you get a straight cut every time. But this only creates the illusion of precision. That addon does not stay in the position you want it to: you tighten the bolt and it moves by a few mm, you don't tighten it enough and it will move up to 1 cm while you are cutting a long piece of wood, like a shelve. You tighten it too many times and the bolt start to wear out. It's just a bad design. It looks and feels very nice but the precision is far from what it needs to be.I needed to cut some Ikea shelves so they would fit my wardrobe and ended up having to buy new ones because the cuts were not straight at all even though I took every measure possible so this would not happen.

Good tool
For the money it's is an excellent diy tool. It takes a little bit to get to know the tool. You can't do full deep cuts in one go. It is only a 400w motor after all so bear that in mind. Make a small cut first for accuracy then cut deeper. It will let you know if it's too much for the little guy then readjust accordingly. I've cut 22mm plyboards and CLS accurately enough. Went through hidden screws without too much problem. It is not going to be as good as a 1400w saw so I think some people give this a poor rating because of unrealistic expectations of what this tool can or can't do.

Quality, Performance & Ease of Use
Love this product - I bought this when block paving my drive. I used approximately four replacement stone discos for the job and this tool was used for a number of days.Something I recommend and have now used for cutting floorboards and cutting down floor tiles - would recommend.
