Could you tell me if you can taste the alcohol in uncooked things, such as icing? I have used other makes and the alcohol is very obvious.

I bought this such a long time, but I remember it wasn't the best (in my opinion), I think it had too strong a flavour which may have been the alcohol and so I didn't buy it again. I think the best and most natural tasting is Taylor & Colledge Organic Vanilla which you can get in some larger Waitrose stores at about £6 a bottle. My kids have some in a glass of milk to make vanilla milkshake and it doesn't have any obvious alcohol flavour. Hope that helps you.
