Grows plants like a boss! This thing has been so much fun. Sure, yeah, plants take a while to grow, so it isn't an instant gratification-type situation, but being able to see day-to-day growth on your plants has been a delight. We started with Jalapeno peppers, but they grew so well in this that we had to move them after a bit as they were getting too big for the light. We've since grown multiple types of flowers and they've all done so well.It's pretty small, so it fits on our counter, and doesn't take up much space, which is nice because we have a small kitchen and this allows us to have a bit of green inside without sacrificing much counter space. The light and water pump turn on automatically with a timer so it's very much a leave-it-and-forget-it type maintenance. Very quiet, too. I have to be standing next to it and listening to hear the pump going.We're very happy with it.

Easy and fun.

This works well for seed starting or cutting rooting, it's easy to use, very reliable. Use it for herbs or greens, its compact and foolproof if you follow the directions and replace your solution every 10-14 days. (You need to do it every 7 days if you're trying to grow spring mix or greens in it). If you want to root cuttings from an appropriate plant, this thing works great for that indoors. Great winter solution if you like to grow your own herbs.

Certain plants can't occupy all 8 pods and grow to maturity, but an excellent starter for seeds.

Light panel stopped working less than 2 months after started using it. called idoo on a Sunday to find business hours and then hung up with out leaving a message. Monday they called saying they had a missed call from me and started the warranty process. I received the a new light panel 4 days after I received their email. Well packed and secure. The fastest I have ever had a warranty process go through.

I am absolutely satisfied with my Idoo hydroponic machine. I have had zero problems with germination and it works great. I was able to start regular size cherry tomato plants, broccoli, and basil in my machine and then had no problems transplanting them outside once they were too big.I keep a constant flow of little gem Romaine, buttercrunch lettuce and regular lettuce going. They are ready to harvest in about 20 days.

I just set it up.So far the pump does not seem to work.Nowhere, ( except in the video which I found on UTube) does it say not to add nutrients until after germinating .It does not say anything about whether the light is automatic, whether one has to turn it on and off manually every day, how ofter to add nutrients. So far it has been on for about 10 hours, but I have no idea whether it is going to turn itself off at some point. It also does not mention whether the light should be on at night or during the day, or whether that matters.Calling them resulted in no one being available for a consultation and the written instructions are terrible,lacking detailed directions, I.e. the paper lid for the seed pod. It is pre-scored, with a chad in the center.The directions fail to mention whether to remove it, or whether the plant will push through it on its own.It also does not mention that you have to add food every 2 weeks .Don’t even try this thing without first viewing the video.
