Good mids, ok lows, highs are too ‘separate’ or ‘bright’ for my ears
Good rounded bass, power handling is reasonable up to medium-high levels when driven by Sony xa 40w per channel head unit.I find the tweeters a bit too distinct from the mediums and lows, I’ve turned the highs right down on the EQ, but they don’t ‘gel’ for me.Better than the stock speakers though.I’d recommend hearing them before buying if possible. Reasonable sound, reasonable price and the tweeters have a nice few fitting options.

Fantastic little set of speakers, great sound quality! I have a 4x50W Alpine amp powering them up front (and the coaxial versions in the rear) and they sound excellent, even when driven quite hard. They are easily able to handle volume up to and beyond my personal limit of comfortable listening volume, and still sound good while doing so - no distortion (so long as you eq correctly, i.e. a suitable high pass filter).Quite strong in the mid department which I like - I listen to a lot of rock and metal - but also good for bass heavy music, dubstep, electronica etc when paired with a good sub which I also listen to sometimes. Plenty of treble, nice and crisp, and punchy mid-bass. I'd recommend setting your amp to high pass at around 70-80 Hz (the quoted low frequency response of these speakers is 65 Hz) and letting a sub handle the rest, that way you can get a really powerful sound without distortion (and loud if you want!).All in all a very good purchase, not too expensive but still a decent quality brand - you will not be disappointed :)-------EDIT:I managed to blow one of the tweeters the other day (I think - haven't checked if it's just a wiring issue or the crossover or something yet) after a few particularly loud listening sessions. Still very happy with the purchase though given the price and that they have lasted over 2 years with constant abuse from me - so much so that I am seriously considering buying the same ones again, if I don't decide to treat myself and go for something slightly more expensive. Still recommended ;)
