Great lights - safer night time riding
Easy to install, looks to be more sturdy than a different brand I had purchased a few years ago. Very bright, looks cool and definitely makes night riding safer for my kids. One thing I’ve noticed with some of the brighter colors (e.g., green, probably white) is that they can be so bright that they might reduce your night vision. I prefer to put the slightly less-bright colors (e.g., blue) on the front tires and a brighter color on the rear tires. YMMV.

Very nice bike wheel lights
These lights are cool . They are bright enough for cars to see you at night.

works like a charm
Prior to this product, I had a different brand (Waybelive 2 pack LED with remote control) that had a remote control to turn lights on and off and choose color and effect variations. When using the prior product, a lot of times the lights would turn off after five minutes or less and I'd turn it back on and it would go off. Sometimes when going over a rough terrain or bump, it would not function properly.again. I didn't have the timer mode, so it was a malfunction. When I had to change the 3 AAA batteries, the inner metallic mechanism was so poor quality, it broke or would be likely to at any time. Also If I were to lose or forget the remote, there was no other way to turn the lights on. Eventually one of the wheel lights stopped working entirely.I like this Activ life product. It is very easy to turn it on and off on each tire. There is a button that worksvery nicely. Also, when inserting or changing the 3 AAA batteries, there is a battery compart that is pulled out so I can insert the batteries while in whatever comfortable position I choose (standing or sitting etc) not crouched over the bike and not as likely to damage any of the internal components as with other products. I'm also glad I don't need to have a remote control I could forget or lose.I ordered the lights that change colors. Also, prior to buying, I called the customer service # to see if I could reach someone, so I would knowthey are available in the future should a problem occur. Sure enough, I was able to speak withsomeone in customer service who was very helpful, informative, and reassuring. In a nutshell everything works great and very pleased.

Look super cool while being safe!!! Wish it was a bit more sturdy
Bought these about year ago.I commute almost exclusively on bike and at night, I really want to be noticeable to cars. These make you EXTREMELY noticeable and enjoyed by people on the street. I got a lot of compliments and kids find them super entertaining.Easy instillation and easy battery change. Zip ties help keep the lights in place. One friend recommended getting a glue gun stick, melt the end with a lighter and dab the spokes to keep the lights more securely in place. If you ever need to take it off, you can easily peel off the glue.Unfortunately after a month, the light I installed on the front wheel broke; wires detached. I wrapped the wires around every other spoke and though maybe I wrapped it too tight. I bought another one and loosely install it this time. Sadly, broke again. Surprisingly, the back wheel lights I installed the same way never broke. A friend had spare lights and installed it closely to the rim without wrapping it around the spokes. He just zipped tied it. So far no problem. If you ever ride after sunset, PLEASE try these out. They really do make a difference. Just be smart about how you install it. Ie: if too tight, it might tense up the wire and break. If too loose the wires would probably rub against the spokes too much and eventually break. It sucks how it’s a trial and error for me, but if you find a good way to install them, let us know!

Wondering what is Galactic?
The media could not be loaded. I pored over a lot of reviews trying to find out what exactly Galactic was.FYI, even though it says it on the box, Galactic does NOT have the 3 settings 'Constant On, Flashing, and Off.' Galactic has only 2 settings: On and Off. I believe this might only apply to Galactic since it's default already shifts between flashing and fading. When it's on, it has lights that fades into different colors every second for 7 seconds. The colors basically vary from a pastel theme (pink, teal green, yellow, light blue) then to primary (red, dark blue, dark green, white). I didn't see purple. After 7 seconds, the lights will then flash brightly between the pastel and primary color themes for about 7 seconds. Then it repeats. The link to their video doesn't work, but there is a paper with instructions that was easy enough to follow. All lights were in working order. When installing onto your tire, put the batteries in, and don't unravel the lights before starting. Leave them coiled tightly like how it came, and unravel them as you start weaving them through the spokes. Its easier that way.Initially I was torn between ordering pastel and galactic. I went with galactic because I had a harder time knowing exactly what it looked like and what colors it had, I figured give it a shot. Galactic might be a bit too many colors for my personal preference, but I'll go with it for now.For comparison, my other half already installed a different brand of bike lights on another bike- Wheel Brightz. I rolled the dice on getting ActivLites. The other brand, WheelBrightz, chosen color is just red, and only has 2 modes (solid on, and off, no blinking). It has the light strand encased in a plastic sleeve, and the lights don't seem to be as bright as the ActivLites.WheelBrightz has a larger battery pack (square) that attaches to the spokes, and requires 3 AA batteries. ActivLite is a smaller battery pack shaped like a film cannister and is installed onto the center wheel hub (more hidden profile). I was able to install it myself, with a little effort.I have 27.5" wheels (700 x32c) and each ActivLite pack was enough to line each rim completely with 2 LEDs left over. I worked carefully because the ActivLite strand is thin, bare wire, only sleeved about 8 inches where it connects to the battery pack. Unlike the WheelBrightz which the whole strand is encased in a plastic sleeve.ActivLite seems more fun, bright and cheery. I will keep an eye on which brand starts having problems first.I shared a picture of the thin wire and pretty much hidden battery pack in the center wheel hub for ActivLites, and showed a picture of the WheelBrightz square battery pack on the spokes with plastic encased wire, for comparison. Also uploaded another video showing ActivLites Galactic vs WheelBrightz red.
