I bought these as part of a set of home-use Gel UV nails that I wanted to start using. I also bought a Lamp, alcohol wipe, and a shade of colour. This had decent reviews, and slightly cheaper than some of the other brands. It works very well and already feel ive made a saving had I gone to the Salon just once. Due to the nature of my job I constantly wash my hands, and felt constant moistening of my nails had made then thin & they kept slicing (like onion skin layers). Im not allowed coloured nail varnish at work (or even clear for that matter!) but for the sake of my nails I went to a Salon to try Gel clear polish. As I wanted no colour, my local salon charged me £15 for clear base&top coat. I did notice my nails were able to grow a little further than normal (during the 2 weeks I had it on). Thats why I decided to buy my own kit for home - I think its perfectly doable for anyone, no need to be qualified in beauty! I have used it once at home - been on for over a week now and absolutely fine. My nails do feel stronger and are able to grow. I dont know enough about any of the products to know the genuine difference between CND, Bluesky or anything else out there, but I just tried Bluesky because it was reasonably priced with decent reviews. I just feel the bottles are a little small - but then again I have noticed most UV Gel Nail polishes tend to be - maybe because you use a small amount once every 3-4 weeks (depending on how well they last!)

I decided I wanted to do my own shellac nails at home as having them done at the salon was getting expensive. I was initially looking into purchasing CND products or Gelish but as they are professional salon products they are quite expensive. I came across Bluesky and decided to give it a go purely on the reasonable price of the products. I have now used the products and am very happy with the results, they definitely do the job and I can not tell the difference between the polish I have done at home compared to the salon service. The products are quite thick compared to normal polish so be sure to apply thin coats and after applying the topcoat and letting it cure under UV make sure you wipe your nails over with alcohol solution as this sets the polish. I cannot comment on how long lasting my nails are as I only done them a few days ago but I'm sure they will last 2 weeks. Would recommend these products:-)

I am not a nail technician, I just like doing nails at home. For about a year I was going to the salon and having CND shellac put on as well as brisa enhancements. Now the polish wasn't awful but on my nails I was always able to make a dent and it would always chip at the top. I just thought this was meant to happen and it was just my nails ( I have very small nail beds and short nails and apparently pretty oily beds as well). Also with CND I found it just popped off and if I was bored, I could just peel the polish off my finger with no obstacle. If you are a picker like me CND is not the answer. I thought this would be exactly the same... not at all. I have no chipping, or lifting yet as well as no loss of shine, no dents, no smudges, just nothing. I cure for 3 minutes as I am not the best painter and thought that if I applied it thick it wouldn't cure. I was wrong, literally you could do anything with this and it will still make them look perfect. I think 2 minutes would be enough for most people. This is fullproof. And my new HG polish range. I used navy seals in between the base and top, it looks awesome! No doubt this will last for 2 weeks + on my nails. Just buy it and have fun painting! I was a bit dubious about ordering this product due to mixed reviews online. I am a novice when it comes to doing shellac nails, however figured for the price of a few salon shellac polishes I could do my own. I have had 2 cnd brand shellac polishes done at a salon. The first peeled after 4 days the 2nd lasted 2 weeks and I removed it due to the regrowth rather than any chipping. I ordered the bluesky shellac to test value for money and so far I am really pleased with result. I used the base coat then cured for 10 seconds 3 thin coats of bluesky dark lava colour each cured 2 mins then the top coat also cured under UV for 2 mins. Wiped off with alcohol UV wipe to remove the tacky layer and was left with a perfect shellac polish. The finish is shiny and hard and the colour even. I have had the polish on for 2 days and so far no sign of any deterioration in the tips. I have had no adverse reactions and I am so pleased with the result. I have ordered more colours and will just monitor to see how long the polish lasts.

pro's: i decided to buy my own gel nail polish for the first time so i din't want to go for trying something expensive to begin with (like the CND Shellac). everything works just fine with this polish, easy to apply and looks great, so i was really pleased with that. does not scratch at all, and i didn't experience any chipping either. con's however, after about a week the polish starts to come loose, like a plastic foil layer, which you can peel off easily. i ended up not even needing any nail polish remover to take it off, because i could peel it off easily, so it's not the most durable product. i don't really have any other product to compare this with and don't really know how long gel nail polish should last, but i expected more than 1 week. it's not bad for the price, pretty good in fact, but after i'm finished with this, i will definitely try something else. i personally don't want to have to do my nails every weekend, which is the case with this product.
