Great mug. Would recommend!
I just love this mug. I am an avid tea drinker and very clumsy which means I am always spilling te everywhere. This mug is great because you can't knock it over if it's on a flat surface. If I drop it on the stairs it bounces right down and doesn't spill or break. It keeps the tea warm for much longer than a normal mug, although it isn't a thermos flask but it does a really good job. Definitely a thumbs up from Me!

6 years in and still working! Good buy!
Addendum- I’ve used the mighty mug for 6 years now. Still works! The base suction is strong, it keeps my drinks hot and still goes in the dishwasher.Nice and steady for work and travel. I spilled coffee with my previous portable cup and this one is Reshma- proof! I've had it for quite some time now and I use it nearly every day. It's been in the top shelf of the dishwasher a few times and no complaints yet.

Brilliant gadget, but also practical, can't ask for much more!
This mug is just a little bit of genius and for the gadget lover who likes a hot drink it's great, for people who use trains a lot or who work around electronics and are clumsy it's a must! My colleague had one at a meeting and told me to try and push it over, I thought he was joking but when I did, the mug didn't budge, not even the slightest, trying to push harder it moved the table before moving the mug, kept me distracted for a long time! I went and got myself one and I'm not disappointed, as long as you have a flat surface the suction base will stick well and won't move a fraction. The thermos style kept my drink hot for a good 30-40 minutes, not like a real thermos flask but good enough to make at home, travel to work and it still be hot. The lid is very secure, I have it in my bag which sits on a car sit horizontally and I've yet to have any spillage. The only reason I'd given 4 stars is that ot's pretty bulky and the design could be more refined/stylish, that's me being harsh only because my wife would like one but says it's too bulky.

Perfect for clumsy people!
Love these mugs - this is my third (as I kept losing them or family members pinching them!). They're nice and big, sturdy and even the 3 year old one has barely got a scratch on it from daily use!Great if you are a clumsy oaf like me that only has to look at a drink to spill it.In fact, I'm sure that my place of work has seen paper towel usage decrease significantly now that I no longer have to mop up tea from desks! It's also great to show people as they're always amazed at how it works. Very happy :)

Great on some points, not so great on others.
I ordered this mug having managed to knock another travel mug over, wrecking a laptop in the process. The Good points:+ It wont tip over easily, if the suction cup on the base is clean and the surface you're placing it on is smooth and clean (such as a table, desk or kitchen worktop)+ It holds a lot (this maybe not so great for some but for me, the fact it holds almost a pint of tea or coffee at one time is a bonus), more than my Bodum Stainless Steel mug+ It can be drunk from when the lid is off (unlike the completely useless Brugo travel mug I bought)The OK points:The sip spout is ok, could be better. The Bad points- Drinks go cold pretty quickly in comparison to a Bodum (in direct comparison the Bodum keeps drinks incredibly hot for 4 hours easily, drinks are cold within 2.5 hours in the mighty mug)- If you have a French car, you will probably find that the mug will not fit into the cup holders (but that is also a problem with the Bodum).I'm going to keep using it, but it won't completely replace my Bodum, instead I'm tending to make drinks in both and drink them one after the other

Perfect for clumsy people!
I heard about this mug on a podcast and was skeptical, but I ordered it to give it a go. I can be a bit clumsy around my desk, so always keep everything raised and try not to leave papers lying on it because inevitably I'm going to spill on the most important things around me.As soon as I unpacked it and set it down, it was obvious what a great innovation it is. It is essentially a suction cup on the bottom, but it's cleverly designed so when you lift it straight up, it lets in air to break the vacuum immediately, so there's no awkward moment when you have to pull really hard to remove it. But moving it in any other direction than straight up doesn't break the (super strong) vacuum, so it really is almost impossible to knock over. I'm sure if you punched it extremely hard you'd manage to force it but if that was happening you've got more to worry about than spilling your coffee!I have a few friends I think will love this, so it may become a regular gift item this year! There is also a stainless steel travel version available. This mug is insulated and has a water resistant seal when you close the top, but it's not designed to be carried with you on the tube/bus on the way to work. It would work, it just doesn't look like the kind of thing you'd want for that. The stainless steel one would be ideal though, so if you're planning on using it on the go, I'd try that version.

Great gimmick with a few practical applications.
I absolutely love this mug. In case you're wondering how it works, it's got a 'sucker' on the bottom, that locks it fast to any surface a sucker can suck against. When you pick the mug up by the body, it pulls against the bottoms section, which disengages the sucker. Nothing else will disengage it, so bumping into it with an errant elbow, a hard-flung tennis ball, or even a deliberate fist, will not knock it down. So... it's great around kids, clumsy people (me!), in busy situations such as aircraft galleys... but it's also great for public transport. I used mine on the Eurostar, and while cups and glasses were sliding all over as we gained and lost speed and went round corners etc, the mug held fast. My only slight issue is with the mouthpiece, which is very slightly oddly formed, and means I have to concentrate to drink without spilling.
