Q: Hi I’m looking to convert Manuel up and over door to electric does this have everything included in box or do I need extra bits as well?

if you have a spring across the top you need a canopy kit

Q: Can you tell the height of the motor unit, below the 35mm rack. As I am short of headroom to the car, is it possible to fit upside down.

The motor unit can only be fitted below the rail because the open track of the rail has the toothed belt which drives the sliding carriage which is coupled by metal arm to the top of the door. The motor unit hangs 120mm below the rail at its lowest point. Further consideration of headroom is - the rail must be mounted approx 200mm above top edge of the door - if you have an up and over door then the rail should have a slight fall in towards the garage to match the slight downward slope of the door rails - hence the rail is slightly lower at the motor unit end - if the door rails are horizontal with no fall then rail will be level throughout.

Q: Will it work on a upvc garage door

I am not a fitter but it works on up and over doors and I do not think the material it is made of matters

1000....l have it fitted to a heavy wooden double up and over door, works great. Buy it from amazon.de where its £100 cheaper
