Will this hold a 32” television ok?

I have a 32'' TV and the foot of the TV measures 19cm deep - the side table measures about 20cm deep so if your TV has the same measurements then yes, however I would have it along a wall not free standing, because, it knocked it could be moved enough to tip off the TV. Saying that when the unit is constructed it is very stable, all I can advise is try it.

What is the thickness of the ply?

It’s 18mm thick just under 2cm hope that helps .
