Excellent Product
I have owned a Parker Centennial Duofold for 30 yrs, which over the last 10yrs has had very little use. Every now and again I have dug it out in the hope that 'this clean' will finally make it a pleasure to write with again. Each time has had no effect. It still remained 'scratchy' with intermittent ink flow, meaning having to use the plunger to squeeze a little ink out, all god for 5 minutes and then same again. Now I do know the tricks to filling, especially leaving it nib down after filling for a while to let ink migrate to the nib, all to no avail. Came across this by mistake and thought why not. Now don't get me wrong, it is expensive, but not as expensive as the pen, or the cost of sending it away to be 'sorted', or to buy a replacement no matter how cheap. Anyway, bit the bullet even taking some of the reviews 'with a pinch of salt' as to it's effectiveness, but, wow is the only comment I can make. Left filled with fluid for an hour, cleaned with cold water, dried thoroughly then refilled and it really is like I remember when new. Beautifully smooth, no scratching (even with fine nib) consistent ink flow etc. I seriously doubt if Parker themselves could have serviced it better. So, in conclusion to me it is worth every penny and then some, would I use it on a 'cheaper' pen, definitely, as no matter how much a new pen will cost, this still works out cheaper. No to mention with a fountain pen there is a certain amount of 'bedding in' to your style of writing that you would have to go through again. Hope this helps, and yes I did buy it, it wasn't a freebie in exchange for a positive review :-)

Wonderful product.
Arrived on due date. J Hebrin 50 ml Cleaning Solution for Fountain Pen. A bit pricey for the size of the bottle. But it does work my fountain pens are cleaner and write's better. I use a lot of different colours so it's great to clean the coloured ink out without leaving a trace of the previous colour. But I will have to use it sparingly.

I use it and keep it flor reuse
Not quite sure what 'sheerness' is so I have given it three stars but otherwise this is a great pen cleaner. I used it on a couple of pens that I haven't used for a while. after an overnight soak in the cleaner they have dissolved the clogged ink feed and nib. It's not cheap (four stars for value for money) but it's very effective and can be used more than once for continued cleaning. Once the nib unit has been soaked I rinse out with water from my water filter jug as I live in a very hard water area. Then attach the ink cartridge and work it through until everything is flowing.

It saved a beautiful Sheaffer pen that was handed down!
Absolutely shocked how effective this is. It revived a pen from my grandfather from the 80s! I'd kept trying to fix it over the years, leaving it in hot water and rinsing thoroughly but nothing ever worked. Thank God I didn't bin it, because after soaking it for a couple hours (just for good measure) in this solution, it is now as good as new!! It writes incredibly smoothly now, it is simply a joy to use. Previously I would struggle to write even 3-4 words with it before it would dry out, even despite having loaded a brand new Faber Castell ink cartridge. HIGHLY recommended

Brought my fountain pen back to life
This is a great solution to bring an old and clogged fountain pen back to life. I have a fountain pen that is about twenty years old and has had its fair share of ink run through it, though it was increasingly getting difficult to write with as ink was not flowing freely through it and often I had to squeeze the cartridge just to force the ink out. I had tried cleaning this using water a number of times in the past but it did not really fix the problem. This solution worked wonders, my fountain pen is writing as well as it did years ago and looks like its brand new. I would say that the one thing that you will find helpful to use with this solution is a syringe just to help push the solution into the fountain pen. Otherwise it is very simple to use.

Inky Spots
This is a strange product, it is quite expensive for a small amount of cleaning fluid- however I cleaned 4 fountain pens which had not been used for years (2 expensive pens). Now we mostly use ball pens it was a treat to see the ink again. I found difficulty in flushing the pens as two did not have removable ink sacs and I lost ink everywhere. To conclude: the fluid does work well and restores the ink flow it is just a bit messy to use. I suggest over the sink.

Does the job
There's no English instructions, only French & German. The English translation of the instructions on the bottle are: - 1) Pour some pen-cleaner solution into a hollow cup or small empty vessel. 2) Dip your fountain pen in it (previously emptied of its ink) and suck up a little pen-cleaner liquid with your pump. 3) Leave to soak for 5 minutes. 4) Rinse well with cold water and then carefully clean with a dry cloth. This solution has a strong concentrated Lemon Juice smell. I used it to clean out a Lamy of old, dried up Parker Quink and old Lamy Blue ink. It did the job well. I don't know how much more effective this solution was verses regular tap-water but I can say that the procedure worked!
