New 3 kg Traditional Weighting Kitchen Scale Bowl Retro Scales Mechanical Vintage (Red) Prima

I bought this for my mum after buying one from a well known brand that arrived damaged. After the initial purchased one was so flimsy, I didn't want to risk getting another damaged one and so looked for an alternative that was sturdier and this topped the list.It is a sturdy metal set of scales that does require some small assembly (The cross on the top that holds the bowl needs to be screwed into place) but that takes less than 5 minutes. The scales are basic so very easy to use, and exactly what my mum had wanted/needed and she loved the aesthetic of it saying that it "reminded her of sweet shop scales from when she was a little girl".Our only criticism (and it is very minor) is that the steel bowl that comes with the scales is very small (approx the size of an ashtray) so would need to be replaced when weighing a lot of an ingredient, but as mentioned this was a minor concern since the scales allow you to use bigger bowls easily because of the cross-patterned metal you have to screw into place on top.For the money I paid, I would say that these are amazing value for anyone who prefers analogue scales to more modern digital ones.

Quite small but I put a bigger bowl on top to weigh ingredients so it’s not a problem. Very retro looking.

What a load of cheap rubbish and seller has the gall to sell something that has to be assembled by the customer!!!Update!! OMG do not buy this absolute heap of rubbish- will not weigh anything correctly!! Just slung it in the bin in a fit of failed baking!!!😡

I tried to use this Kitchen Scale but found that the little button or knobthat needs to be adjusted to set the scale to zero was loose in the bottomof the box.Could not get it to screw into the hole where it should have been, so I threwthe whole thing into the recycling bin.Not a good purchase at all.

Prefer these scales not too big to put in the cupboard

Looks good easy to use .sorry I didn't buy the bigger side.
