Done exactly what I wanted for my dash cam

I needed a new cable for my dash cam as the old one kept blowing the cigarette lighter fuse. After looking through a few dozen here on Amazon I decided to try this one and I wasn’t disappointed. It works fine and does the job. The part that goes into the lighter is a little tight and does need to be forced in a little to get it in. One downside is the bright blue light on the top. Because of the position of my lighter the blue light shines right into my face. I can turn it around which does help a lot but it can still be a little annoying. The cable is quite thick and sturdy and does feel more durable then the one that came with the camera. Now I’ve read that a few people have had problems with their radio’s signal. What I will say is that when I use this in my car, the radio works fine however, when I use it in the company van it does interfere with the signal. All I can think of is it might be down to the vehicle and the age of both the car and the radio inside. Overall though, the cable does the job at a good price. If this once goes for any reason I would buy it again.

My order was for the AM-CC9 variant as all others are mini usb connectors. Although the headline description is for "micro-usb", the other four versions are sub-described as "mini-usb" except for the CC9 which is described as being both! The cable received is a mini-usb and is not compatible with the micro-usb device I wish to power. I do not know how well they work due to this error in the product description.

Yay, our dashcam is working again! We'd been bought an Apeman C650 budget dashcam a year or two ago and got along with it well enough providing it was not always connected to the car's electrics. As a result we were constantly connecting and disconnecting the lead that came with it, and it eventually failed. This lead has more solid cabling than the previous Apeman-supplied one and the plug that goes into the 12v socket seems a lot more substantial too. The fact that there's a USB connector on the plug is also a bonus, and I'm hopeful that we'll be able to charge things from it (not tested as yet) so that we might be able to run a Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 (which has GPS built in and for which there are free GPS apps (Osmand, Navmii, Next Maps, etc) without the battery conking out on us mid-trip. Early days, but it's great to have the dashcam up and running again. It's not quite as slick as running power directly via your car's electrics, but is a nice easy solution to powering devices if you don't want to delve into your car's fuse box.

Purchased this after my dashcam kept switching on and cutting off. My previous lead was a usb connection via a twin usb cigarette lighter adaptor. This lead simply plugs in as a whole unit into the cigarette lighter port. No more loose fiddley connections. Fits perfectly and has no room for movement. Dashcam worked 100% since with no interference. Would certainly purchase again but it is so sturdy and of good quality that I think this one will last! Highly recommend to all.

I bought this to replace a faulkty dashcam cable. Although the dashcam was high quality the original cable supplied with it was poor, deteriorated rapidly and stopped charging the camera, as well as causing dreadful radio interference in the car. Now that I've used this new cable I can't recommend it more highly. No radio interference, camera charges and functions perfectly and the cable appears robust and thicker than the original. Swift delivery, good packaging and an email from the seller offering assistance and support. What's better than that? Buy one
