Excellent starter book on fossils, was even useful for this old granny!

Great book and great value! I didn’t check the dimensions and was expecting something smaller with less details.It has super pictures and lots of interesting facts. I knew it would be above the reading level of my 6 year old grandson but this makes it more in depth and interesting.He will love it!

This was bought to go with some first fossils to start a 10-year-old's collection - and it has been very well leafed through already. DK always illustrate their books beautifully and this is no exception - though fewer pages than expected.

My 9 year old granddaughter is fascinated by fossils and rocks. On opening she put all other presents to one side to browse this book. An ideal gift.

Our Grandson will be 9 this week and he has a keen interest in Archaeology and rocks. I have read this myself first before I give it to him and it is great and so informative. I am positive he will love it.

Bought this for 8yr old grandson for Xmas. Really well illustrated with easy to understand descriptions!
