This is a light weight but solid gavel and block. I'd say it's suitable for light use such as social organization or other occasional use. It has a dark wood appearance and looks nice.

very nice for the price

I had to find a gavel for a mock trial for which I was serving as judge. I was afraid this was a toy, but it’s actually a legitimate gavel. Unfortunately, it came with a little damage to the paint/stain, but it was fine for my purposes and I’m sure it was a rare defect. I didn’t bother returning it just because the defect was minor and I only needed it for a mock trial. But it’s a good gavel, standard size and construction as used by judges in the courtroom.

I use this as a cake decoration for a new lawyer in the family. It’s a real wood makes amazing sound was perfect and exactly what I expected it to be.

Damaged block paint chipped plus repair to the top of the block not to my expectations poor quality
