It does keep your computer awake, but..... I have two business computers. One or the other is always going to screen saver. This keeps the idle one visible, but the movements are too predictable and eventually get detected and that laptop get locked out. I need to see if I get a meeting call, email, etc. while I'm working on the other system and so keeping the laptop up during work hours is vital and my company will not modify the screen saver time. This works, but it's too easily detectable. The movements need to be random.

Perfect for the times you need to keep your computer on because there's a auto time out set by your IT dept. The on/off function is useful and the 3 mode lets you change between functions. Overall happy with the item and hope it continues to work for the upcoming years.

This is a very easy plug and use item. I plugged it into the usb port on my laptop, held the button for 2 seconds and it worked. Hold the button for 2 more seconds and it's off. It's great and does exactly what it is supposed to do.
