This set is much more than I expected. Beautiful pieces and convenient storage. The magnets hold the pieces tightly to the board. This is really good for young players who bump the board and the pieces a lot as they play. I also LOVE the storage capability.

Very disappointed. While the pieces, the board at first glance, and the interior are very nice, the chess set is getting warped already. I have only played with the chess set about 10x in the past 1.5 months and because how the hinges lay, they pop up, sticking the board to pop up over time in the center. Also I have notice a few of the "tiles" starting to crack and peel up. What first looked like a great buy has turned into a horrible purchase. The board could be cracking because the hinges when folded out, so you can play on the board, are raised higher than the rest of the board. DO NOT BUY! Now I am stuck with a clearly defective product!

Bought it for my Grandson who is 5 years old and learning chess. First of all I love the fact you get extra queens, not that I get an extra queen that many times while playing. The quality is good, the magnets hold pieces in place. The pieces fall out of the foam inserts inside, but no big deal. Chess pieces are nicely made. Worth the money compared to other plastic sets I've looked at. May buy a better one when he can beat me consistantly

My son has really enjoyed this chess set. What he liked is that inside the case the pieces have an individual spot for each piece in foam with felt covering as not to just throw the pieces in the case and have them rattle around. Nice product

Was excited to receive this chess set but the wood is bent and the board will not sit flat. I will be returning this product... overpriced and poor quality.

The game was decent, the pieces were ok, made of wood , that part is true but some details are missed. The biggest issue I had was the fact that The box won't close very well cheap quality hinges , won't snap so the pieces are not secure.

Awesome design. Craftsmanship is perfect. No smell or anything of materials. Would definitely suggest it to someone who loves good craftsmanshipAdditinally magnet feature and place for each figure inside the box is perfect. It prevents player from loosing figures.

I would really give 4.5 stars. One of the magnet fell off and we lost it but beyond that, it's a great toy for kids and so far, very durable with young kids taking them out multiple times daily... Would buy again. Quality is adequate too.
