Close call
I’ve used these rigs as quick ties when it’s late and I need to tie on quick after a snag on my trustworthy homemade rigs. Have caught several blues in the 20-50 lbs range with them. I don’t like the stiffness of the section within the float however the float holds up well in the water and is overall a good rig. On one occasion (and reason for the 3 star review) the very first blue cat at 25lbs that came on this rig was netted and the crimped lower end snapped lose right after. Could be just a rare incident or could be due to faulty craftsmanship. Be wary, you don’t want nor need this to happen when latched into a record breakers mouth. I will say there have been 6 cats at/above that size after that they held up well on. Take your time and make your own rig or inspect them well before use. Always double check your gear or it could cost ya.

surprisingly works
was a bit sceptical about these,been fishing for cats for 30 years and have never used anything beside a slip sinker and a hook but glad i tried it. W have heavy weeds in a lake right now and the cats are staying elevated above them and this worked great to catch them. This float helped us to get a 40 pound flathead,but we took out time bring it in because i wasn't sure what the breaking strength is on the leader even though my line was 65 lb test.

I fish James river blue cats and this thing gets the job done. Bait stays away from crabs on the bottom. The hook size keeps away the small riffraff and hooks up extremely well on big fish. Fish bigger than 15 pounds tend to bend the wire pretty bad but I’d definitely buy again

Great rig and price
Rig was easy to use and put on. Bought the black and red floats. Caught this 14lb my first day of use! My Pb! Don’t get tangled like I would normally with a drop shot or without the float. Highly recommend and can’t wait to fish again!
