Don't be fooled by the picture, as this is not what you will receive. The fact is, none of the toppers you see anywhere online match what you get in real life. I knew this when i bought it so wasn't disappointed. The pictures you see showing a really thick almost vertical topper are of one that has been plumped and filled to the max. in reality its just full of air, as soon as you put any pressure on it, the topper goes down to a few inches thick.This is basically a bouncy thick duvet which straps onto your mattress. It is really comfy. We recently bought a day bed from ikea which came with some quite thin mattresses. These were pretty firm and not that comfy to sleep on if you roll onto your side. As a result i bought this to help soften the blow. It does actually work really well. My guests who tried it out for the first time said it was really comfy and had a great nights sleep.You will have to plump it up every other day if you are going to sleep on it continually, but as a guest bed its perfect for occasional use. I suspect it will flatten down over time if used every day, just like a duvet would.If you really want luxury comfort from a topper, then you have to pay a lot more for it. The ones you get in hotels are usually feather and down and cost hundreds of pounds, so don't be fooled into thinking this will match that in any way.

I bought this for a bed with a very firm mattress and it has made it much more comfortable. It is good quality and value for money.

Fortunately I did not have high expectations for this mattress topper....the price says it all. I'm pretty sure that Trade Description would have something to say about the depth of the topper and it is very lumpy. Nevertheless it does the job until I can sort something of better quality.

I have had the topper on my double bed for 3 weeks now. I flipped sides when I changed my sheets last week as I expected the topper to be slightly worn on the side I slept on but really was not necessary (just habit on my part). So far the topper is "medium softness" and really quite nice. I now look forward to getting into bed at night whereas previously I was dreading it with my too firm mattress and a topper that was rubbish. To summarize this8 topper is excellent value for the money and it has made a huge difference to my overall sleeping experience. As a final note I am disabled with a severe back deformity and I have struggled to find the right topper that delivers a softer overall feeling but also some support for my deformed back. Looks like I wont have to look anymore. This topper has delivered and is worth gold to me!!!!

This is better than I thought it would be. My mattress is really knackered, starting to fill the springs etc, but with this, I honestly cannot feel them anymore. For the price, I am pleasantly surprised. The only thing I wasn't very confident about was the elastic bands that are supposed to hook over the 4 corners of the mattress to keep the topper in place. They kept pinging off when I first put the topper on my bed and I thought, this is never going to stay in place once we're in the bed but to my surprise they have not pinged off once. Just make sure you have a nice tight bed sheet to help secure them in place. Very comfortable though!

I received the topper yesterday and was initially very thrilled to see just how thick/sturdy it was,not flimsy or cheap in any way whatsoever,spot on :)So,as I've a 4'6" futon double bed,a little unconventional,I immediately proceeded to fit the topper to this,first directly over the mattress part/wooden slatted base,to which I then refitted my sheepskin mattress protector which I use for extra comfort and warmth,and then the double fitted lower sheet,sorted! :)I dived onto it to give it a trial feel and Man,it was like having an entire new,thick mattress on,so comfortable,warm and cosy,the real deal and more :)I'm absolutely delighted with this fabulous topper,all you Amazonians out there,as I've slept like a log on it already last night,it's like a whole new bed honestly,and all this for a mere £25.99,I couldn't be happier really.So I suggest anyone reading this really consider buying one too,and soon,you'll be equally happy I'm sure,Sleep tight peeps :)

Given the price, this is fantastic, very puffy and cosy - obviously I'm not expecting it to last as long as a more expensive/quality topper, but I was looking for a short term fix for my awful old mattress until I buy the new one and this has provided exactly that and better than I anticipated! Would definitely buy again for this use and after I have my new mattress I'll be repurposing this for using over the groundsheet when camping! Great product at a great price!

The cotton cover is made to accommodate a 4" filling as advertised but the filling is nearer 2". Having said that it is soft, comfy and warm and I am glad I bought it. Definitely improves my mattress and my sleep quality. Excellent service - a good buy.
