Great
Definately worth it the book is cheaper on amazon as it would be 10 pounds normally and apart from missing some stuff out like christmas in basic training its a good book but i would advice reading the actual cherub books first so you get more of an understanding of whats going on and the characters do look very differrent to what i pictured but luckily it hasnt changed my image of the characters when reading the book and i absoloutly cant wait till class a come out! :)

Great graphic novel
My son absolutely loved this graphic novel. It wasn’t as good as the original book, but devoured the action nonetheless in an hour.

Bought for my daughter
This was bought for my daughter after she got it from the library and decided she wanted her own copy for her library, so I assume it must be good!

Good book to get boys reading.
I have read every one of Muchamore's books and can't wait for the next book in his Henderson's Boys series - despite the fact that I am nowhere near the target audience. My seven year old son loved the Young Bond graphic novel Silverfin, as well the Alex Rider books - so this was purchased for him. It does say not suitable for younger readers, but I would strongly disagree with this. This is just the type of book to make young readers want to read and perfect for boys who prefer action and adventure to magic and vampires. Limiting which books children can read by age level - may well result in some children not wanting to read at all. Yes there is violence, but this is one of the things my son liked about the book. I have to admit though the lable "Not Suitable for Younger Reader" made my son much more interested in the book. Perhaps schools should ban younger children from reading these - nothing will make them more determined to get their hands a copy. My son enjoyed this book very much and I will certainly buy the next book in this series if one comes out - even if it has the same quality of illustrations. Anything that keeps boys fired up about books is money well spent in my opinion. But my son did point out that the illustrations were not very good - and I have to agree with him. We have a large number of graphic novels, and I feel this is the most poorly illustrated of the lot. The illustrations lack consistency and appeared rushed. Some are OK but others are truly horrid and I'm afraid the quality of artwork may result in this series never getting off the ground - which would be a great shame. For those unfamiliar with CHERUB books, the series follows the exploits of a child spy. In this it has a lot in common in with Alex Rider or The Young James Bond, but rather than being just a single agent - CHERUB follows a group of friends in a school for spies - so has been compared to Harry Potter as well - but for children who wouldn't dream of reading a book about wizardry. This book will appeal most to the hardest to reach group of readers - boys who do not like fantasy and fairy tale type books. This story is missing something from the original, but it is still an excellent book and one of very few books to suit boys who want a more action packed read. I would highly recommend this book for reluctant readers, especially preteen boys. The graphic novel format makes this series accessible to a younger group of readers and I certainly hope we will be seeing more in this series.

Just what my son wanted
Ordered this for my son as his friends we're talking about it at school. Decided to buy a used copy as it would be passed around his friends and was surprised by the good condition of our copy when it arrived, practically new! My son has really enjoyed it and this comic version has encouraged him to pick up the books and start reading them. However, from glancing at it myself, I wouldn't say it is for younger readers as there is some violence and killing within.
