Rockingham Forge Upright Matt Black Universal Knife Block, 20 Slots for Knives up to 20cm Blade Length, 27cm

I ordered the wooden version of this product. I was somewhat hesitant, as some reviews here had said it was poor quality, but I couldn't afford the more fancy knife storage options I had seen.I'm not sure if I was just lucky or if the quality has improved since the other reviews, but I have no issues with mine at all. It's nice and solid, and the knives slide into the slots easily, and are securely held in place once in. One of my knife blades is over 20cm, but it's a utility knife (/confectioner's knife) and therefore doesn't have a sharp point at the end - so I am happily storing it in the block anyway as I don't think it will get damaged. The block grips it fine despite the knife being longer. I think pointed knife blades would need to be under 20cm (as per the manufacturer's suggestion) or they might get lodged into the bottom of the block and get damaged.The design is simple and inoffensive, I'm happy with how it looks on my worktop.I have not yet tried to clean it as I've not had it for long, so I can't speak to that.... though the cleaning process is not obvious to me! Just hoping it won't need doing often (I only put clean knives into it, so why would it need cleaning much?)

I spent a lot of time looking at reviews for different knife storage options before deciding on this one. It has not disappointed. The bamboo colour is rich and warm but more importantly the block holds the contents of 2 standard blocks plus 4 Santoku knives that were in a drawer. That's 15 in total and I think there is still room for a few more. It seems to be well made so far but I've only had it a couple of weeks so can't comment on longevity. A really good option for storing multiple knives safely.

I have had a variety of knife blocks through the years and this is definitely one of the best, any knife fits, none get stuck, knives feel secure, Well done the manufacturer.

As a professional chef, the slatted knife holding design is fantastic for holding my full range of knives, from paring to large chopping and long carving knives.None of the others I have tried come close.

Extremely sturdy with easy access for inserting knives with plenty of well protected slots.

Holds all my knives securely in one place. Much bigger than the block it replaces but that only held five knives. Some of the slots are are a bit tight but there is plenty of space, so you can just move to another position. Well made and looks good in the kitchen.

I have ordered this product as it looks nice although it is not cheap. On the first delivery, one corner was damaged. I returned it and got a second item delivered the next day, what a service from Amazon!But unfortunately, the second article received is even worst. Totally broken on the corners. This is not serious. I will send it back and look for another article

Je suis pleinement satisfait de ce range couteau. De par son poids, il est très stable, il n'abîme pas les couteaux, et il permet de ranger toutes tailles de couteaux.

It does what it's supposed to do, but the open slots for the knives aren't quite as I expected, as for some reason it's quite hard to insert the knives into some of them. The flexibility is nice though and the blades of the knives never touches anything.

Für mich ist es bisher der beste Messerblock den ich gekauft habe. Es passen alle Größen von Messern rein und sitzen auch stabil drinnen. Davor nutze ich die Billigeren Messerblöcke mit diesen Stäben drinnen, die leider immer meine Messer unscharf machten, und nach kurzer zeit gingen diese Stöbe im inneren immer kaput.
