Fireangel CO-9X 7 Year Portable CO Alarm

It appears to do exactly what is supposed to do we now have peace of mind in it caravan.It was a doodle to install, just two screws to slip it on to. It seems to work great and the battery should last ages so I'm happy.Good price, speedy delivery with Prime, great product.

Fitted in our Piper Cherokee light aircraft so every confidence in this product!! Test every time by brief press of the large white button..do not hold down as then goes into a test mode for several minutes. |No worries if you do, it reverts back automatically after 3 minutes]..7 year fixed battery life we are told, so shall see, only fitted last month, so far so good. When you fit and activate by removing a small lanyard it then times down from 7 years, [again not yet tested this duration!]...Ideal also for campervan/caravan use and holiday lets etc, Rented property etc home and abroad legally have to have CO detector fitted but take one for peace of mind.. CO annually kills quite a few people still, so forget your silly covid masks and buy something useful!..

A item difficult to fully review.Arrived on time, a good price and well made.Installation very straight forward and the sensor is activated by withdrawing a small pin.The battery life is stated as being 7 years so too soon to comment. My sensor was only activated on the day of this review.

This seemed like just the thing for our son's bedroom, having become more aware of the potential danger from Carbon Monixide poisoning recently, and following advice to my own mother to have one in the house! It's compact and easy to understand, and sits at breathing level near his bed - as per the instructions. There are a lot of instructions about where it should go, but with the option of standing on a surface it makes it even easier to manage - no necessity for screwing into a wall or ceiling. It flashes infrequently, so it doesn't get noticed unless you're looking for it to check it's working. Haven't tried the monthly recommended test yet which requires something like a jostik to be used to test it's sensitivity.

Have a gas fire but never been serviced - on asking for this I was told they would have to disconnect the fire from the mains due to "lack of ventilation" - basically saying you need a hole in your wall to the outside if you want a gas fire! Crazy. So this is instead as an early warning. Also much cheaper than a gas fire service (not a recommended way forward by the way, just my opinion).So, Although the battery is fixed inside the product with a 7-year life, you can re-insert the batter contact break that it came with to save the battery when not in use - hence extending the life of the product beyond the rated 7 years, is my thought.I spent a good while deliberating between this and other very similar products, but the "no need to keep replacing batteries" and no maintenance factors appealed to me.So, recommended (1 month into ownership).

You can't really ask for much more, when it comes to good value.1. A safety device made by a reputable company2. Sealed unit, including battery, guaranteed for 7 years3. Good audible alarm, but would not fill a large houseWhen you get it, you just pull the tab and its active. No messing about. All for under a tenner.Was posted and delivered promptly within a couple of days.

I was impressed with the specification and longevity claims. I was pleasently surprised at how small and unobtrusive it was and so simple to set up. You can hace it free standing or attached to a wall (fittings supplied) I tried the audible test function and its enough to wake the dead. They say good things come in small package, and this is certainly the case with the fireangel, no wonder the fire service recommend it. When you see how long the battery last for (7yrs) its got to one of the best value for money alarms on the market.
