Hi according to the label it's not washable, maybe it's because of the foam layer on the cover. I wouldn't try too personally though.

Does anyone know if this is suitable for a steam generator iron?

Yes. I have a steam generator and I have been using it on this this ironing board cover and it is fine.

I didn’t wash it yet as it keep well. Other once I had previously I’ve washed on low spin and those were fine.

Is this cover fit for 121 by 38 cm iron board?

My ironing board is 118cm x 36cm, slightly smaller than yours, but I feel there is sufficient overhang to cover 121cm x 38cm. I’m really pleased with the quality of the cover and would definitely buy again. Hope this helps.
