The volume is fine
Feels very chunky in your hand. It is a lovely, built, quality sound, and the volume is more than loud enough. Don't be put off by some of the bad reviews which say that the volume is too low. Maybe their headphones are not the best. You have to use your own.

Overall Very good, good quality for the price & would recommend
This DAP is Very good for the price range.Have to issue with any audio formats. The OS could use some improvements but is functional overall.I use a 256gb card & have about 3000 songs at the moment, the OS can be a bit sluggish at times.I have used both wired & Bluetooth & I have had no issues with the Bluetooth dropping I have used both 4.1 & 5.0.Good sound quality but the volume is set as 0 to 30, I would prefer of the increments were smaller something like 0 to 50 or 0 to 100.I have had an issue I accidentally removed the SD card when it was on & now I can't use the DAP because everytime I put the reformatted card back into it, it corrupts the card & won't read.I am currently in contact with Phinistec support to fix this issue.

Form and function
The device is both rugged and super stylish at the same time, a real thing of beauty. I listen to music for several hours a day around the house and garden. I don’t use my phone because of the wear it puts on the battery. This player, with its extraordinary battery life, toughness and the fact that it fits comfortably in the pocket is the ideal solution. I had a question for Customer Support regarding the Shuffle mode; I emailed the support address in the manual and had a friendly and helpful response in 10 minutes!

Waste of time stick to your phone or buy an alternative, Also a complete pain to return
First off the construction of this player is second to none, absolutely solid with really excellent buttons and jack sockets, good display and relatively easy navigation, here the good stuff ends, as an mp3 player it is woefully inadequate whilst the Bluetooth connectivity is good the sound quality and volume are definitely well below what you would expect from such a well designed and constructed player. The volume limitations are reminiscent of the Sony mp3 sticks but worse. I bought this based upon YouTube reviews, sadly misled by the reviewer who stated that full volume blasted his ears lol. Tragic that such a well designed piece of hardware is letdown by the firmware. Now listening contentedly to my iPhone with the same Amazon buds at 60% volume and it outperforms this player at 100%. Advice stick to your phone.

Too quiet, but a sturdy unit
Firstly the big thing. The volume, it goes up to 30, but 1-15 are silent so it doesn't really count. It plays the music fine, works fine, but if I'm anywhere noisy it will be useless. Fine for the walk to work, but on a planeor busy bus it will be no good.Second. I bought on prime day and they suddenly a week later as I review the price is now £10 less. That is price gouging and not cool. Jacking up the price like that means I won't buy from them again. The good.It is sturdy and easy to use. It came with a screen protector which was a nice touch. The UI is simple, but gets the job done. The meh. The charging cable is short and slow for file transfer. If they have some kind of update that increase the volume output I will up my review by one, until then. It is average.

Perfect for my needs
I wasn't impressed with this player after I tried to update the firmware, in fact the player froze, I contacted the company and I have to say what a joy it was to find a company that actually goes that extra mile for its customersThey actually sent me a link to some software enabling me to format the device and flash it with the latest firmware, it works a treat now, this company really treats its customers well.

A LONG AWAITED DREAM BECOMES A DISASTER
PLEASE NOTE: This is a edit and change of my previous review done 13/09/23.I changed it because I felt I owed other potential buyers a proper clear review.MY NEW REVIEWWhen I got my MP3 I found it was beautiful in design. I LOVED the way it looks and the controls. But, as I was trying to get the card, which comes with the player, it got accidently pushed into the player?Plus, the sound quality is VERY disappointing. It's way to low. Even, if you turn it up to FULL, it is low(and if you look through the other reviews - you'll find others have found this).I politely suggest in future versions of this product (or new ones):1. The sound quality is better.2. The sound is controllable with a equalizer.3 There is a button to push or a pin hole you can eject the card out (like you can with memory or sim cards in phones)? The simple truth you can find cheaper, less bulky MP3s with way better audio. The makers of this product let themselves down with the audio. If this wasn't an issue it would've been a 7 - 8/10.David

Well made but poor sound quality and Bluetooth integration
I needed an MP3 player for my car and at first this appeared to tick all the right boxes. It was well made, good value and for me had a decent interface too. However the Bluetooth integration is poor, my device continuously dropped the connection to the car while in use, I tried it with earphones too and the problem was the same. However the worst problem was the sound quality or more importantly it's volume which was so low at its max. it's almost unusable unless you are in very quiet place. The sound quality was Ok with some detail but very tinny and when you try to use the equaliser the sound distorts. My old iPod Shuffle is 5 times as loud and has a far more engaging sound too, so you can enjoy the music at all levels. I returned the device do the Bluetooth issues which is clearly a fault but also because it was very poor at the one thing it is designed to do which is play music with a clean sound and at a good volume of you need it.
