Metro Mona Lisa

Hilarious and moving collection of words and photographs
Poetry is the channeling of a complex perspective through static text...no easy feat. Rick's descriptive prowess is powerfully accented by his hilarity and wit with which he dissects society and puts its poignancy and silliness on display. Major bonus points for unadulterated transmission of thought—the guy can navigate words and feelings with ease, creating memorable scenes that without a doubt happened exactly this way, both in and out of his mind.If you enjoy considering life as it is—with all of its emotion and minutia—while achieving catharsis with heavy laughter and heartfelt sighs, this book is for you. Very well done!

Beautiful and moving.
This is a jewel of a book. Each poem is a 10x magnification of the little instances that flicker and fade each urban day. The companion photographs in black and white capture the incoherent and the wry, the frenetic and the bored, the polished and the grimy. Rick Leddy shares how the city speaks to him with wit, heart and fearless candor.

Great photos, layout and poems
Rick's poetry creates scenes of urban life to be remembered. We all see this humanity as we move about the city- but when Rick writes, we remember the faces.Great photos, layout and poems, highly recommend. It's a good gift for any Angelino or SoCal lover....

Talent to spare, Leddy's insights are memorable.
Extraordinary. I don't usually take time for poetry (I know, I should), but I have read and re-read Metro Mona Lisa. Talent to spare, Leddy's insights are memorable. Highly and enthusiastically recommend it.
