Good quality bare root rhubarb crowns
With bare root crowns , the pink showing is where the growth comes from so make sure they are correct way up . Plant straight awayand water well . These are good quality crowns at a convenient price . . Good and solid with the tiniest of pink growth . You won’t crop first year so patience required . I would recommend this seller Carbeth no problem.

Great product.
Bought two roots, has been in the ground about five days one of the roots has already produced two shoots of about six inches high. Nothing on the other yet but give it time. Great product

Expensive waste of money for DEAD plants.
Bought 4 ( 2 packs of 2 rhubarb crowns ). Product arrived looking clearly. well dead. All 4 dark brown, flaking, crispy, dark-brown, dead foliage. Planted in centre of large, individual pots, a few weeks ago.In good quality compost. Have drizzled sufficient water on them every evening, still no sign of any greenery or growth. Plants now looking even deader than before. Ironically a few flowering shoots of unplanted, mystery, tiny flowers have sprung up around the dead rhubarb crowns.

Thriving from day 1
They looked really healthy when they arrived. I soaked them in water overnight and planted the next day. I have a couple of leaves on both now. I’m looking forward to some rhubarb crumble 😊

Both dry, dead and one arrived covered in mould.. UPDATE: Items replaced by seller.
Cannot recommend. No signs of life despite immediate planting. One was bone dry, one covered in a dusty mildew.UPDATE: Sept 2024 The seller reached out to me regarding the condition of the crowns. After sending them some photos (they had been planted at least 4 weeks and showed ZERO signs of life before and after planting) they replaced both the crowns and i have heard from my father these are looking MUCH better. Therefore, i am happy to modify my review based on their customer service. It shouldn't have happened in the 1st instance but they had the decency to put it right..

Good so far.
Arrived fast considering it’s coming from the other end of the UK. Got an extra crown which was nice, and all three had shoots already. Planted them straightaway so will update my review depending on how it goes, but for now it’s 5 stars.

Not as expected
2 crowns received both very small, only one has started to grow. Would not recommend.
