I chose this for a granddaughter after much considering, reading reviews, etc., and realizing there was no way I could assemble so many cute, tasteful items on my own and match the price. There was certainly no way I could have created such a pretty or fun presentation on my own In fact, that's part of the charm of this set. It's so beautifully packaged, with a nice big pretty outer box, and then the inner sleeve/bag and then items to undo and unwrap and discover. The floral zippered case that holds things is super-nice. I worried it might be "cheap" but it is not! It's lovely in-and-of itself and is something she will take and use for many purposes (makeup later, craft items, little do-dads). The necklace, the adorable little bear, the stickers, all so appropriate. In my day, well, our mothers put a dull, scary booklet by either Tampax or Kotex on our beds and a box and we were lucky to get that (they hadn't had that much information to go on back in their time!). So it was really delightful, watching said granddaughter discover the contents and proudly figure out where to hang the bag, put on the necklace, consider the charms, look at the booklet. The little bear has become her companion. Most importantly, it is a super way to handle the whole issue if an adult feels awkward. If you've already laid the groundwork, as we have, then it's still quite a pretty, loving way to be encouraging to any young gal approaching this stage of life. It stops the wrong information (which comes, even if adults have been informative) and has to make the girl feel special to get such a lovely ensemble. Also, this is important, customer service is EXCELLENT. I had a question and got a personal reply lickety-split, and have enjoyed total follow-through . The owner (it is a family small business) could not be nicer or or more helpful. So, if you are considering it (and I did consider it for a while, and compared possibilities), I think you will be pleased with your decision. Just the pleasure of watching the granddaughter discovering the this-and-that's inside was worth it.

I think I was just as excited about this first period kit as my daughter! lol this is so adorable. I love how everything is so elegantly put together, and I mean EVERYTHING - there are so many items in this kit. Her eyes lit up every time she discovered something new in the bag. The bag itself is of superb quality. I know she will be using this for many years to come. The cozy socks and the cute bunny mask were her favs. The educational material, the trinkets, scrunchies, the heating heart, the pads, wipes, the cute lil surprise - I could go on and on, all beautifully done. This is a must-have kit if you want to make her first period experience fun and worry free.

This kit was SO well thought out. I bought it a few months before my daughter started her cycle so that I would have it on hand, and I'm so glad I did. Such an important milestone, and I was grateful to have something that was so well put together. This is a gift made by moms for their daughters, and it shows. My girl was truly touched, and loved and used all the items.

Is is the cutiest little box you can give your daughter. It comes so sweetly wrapped which you'll see once purchased and opened. It's a box in a box in a lovely satin bag. Them the cutest travel bag with many compartments for all she'll need. You have everything that is listed inside. She'll be very happy with this wonderful gesture into womanhood. It would be a great gift for a siblings or grandchild, niece. The materials are made to last. Beautiful just beautiful. I looked at many and I'm so happy I picked this one. My daughter is very happy I picked this one.

My 10 year old daughter was very worried about starting her period at school as some of her friends had already started. We had “the talk” but then I bought her this kit. She loved it! We fixed up a to go bag, sequin cute bag was provided in the kit. We filled it with the pads and liners provided in the kit. The products were the perfect tween size for her. She also really loved the necklace and surprise the kit can with. I also liked the question and answer guide and period tracker. A very well put together kit! We also bought some period “leak proof” panties in a ziplock bag and put them in a fun bag to hide them, so if she did start at school she could change underwear and hide the mess. Having this kit really did ease her fears about starting at school as now she is prepared.
