Worth watching

I like the movie

The story line get better and this is where the fight begins against president snow .

I loved the books but like many I uncertain it was right to divide this movie into two because this left the first one feeling slow and unsatisfying because of an incomplete story arc. That said it was gripping. The acting was excellent and the cinematography good and it really built the tension and atmosphere of the hunger games fantasy dystopia and the coming war.However despite the book being first person narrated and therefore very close to Katniss I felt this movie was quite distant from Katniss. We see her upset and traumatised and not much else. At first when I considered what what wrong I thought maybe the acting had been a bit cold from Lawrence but I realised it wasn't the acting. It was just a script that focusses so much on the rebellion and capitol's reign of destruction that the characters get left behind. In particular I felt nothing for Peeta or Gale on this installment because they were so sidelined.Overall the movie is very good and emotionally powerful but the characters I had grown to love in the first two were not so easy to like and relate to in this film. I felt it wasn't really Katniss' story anymore, that despite her being the pivotal Mockingjay figure she was somehow irrelevant. I'm hoping the next one will return to the greatness of the characters we know and do justice to the book which was phenomenal.

Great entertainment

The story continues and with the fast pace it's going it will be finished with part 2. The future is near and the rebels are nearing the town for freedom, Fighting continues and the story goes on, now what can the Panem's tyrannical president think of next to save his hide. There is a secret but you'll have to wait for the next chapter and conclusion of the hunger games, this has plenty of twist to keep you on your toes so you won't be bored. Munchies and drink time with a full on fabulous show that will have you alert. Relax if you can and watch first class entertainment with the hunger game mockingjay part 1. Enjoy!

I absolutely loved the whole series of the hunger games. All the other films in the series is on Sky at the moment which is where I first saw them but as I got more into it I had to watch it in order so I purchased the missing film of the franchise and I must say I certainly wasn’t disappointed

No as good as the other two movies. The third instalment, as many others have said here, would have been much better if it had been allowed to be the final movie. The third book (as per usual in these highly money making franchises!) is split into two and, as those of us who have read the trilogy know, most of the action happens in the second half of the book. This leaves the Director with the unenviable task of making this movie as interesting and dynamic as those that have come before. It fails on a number of levels, especially with the action, as there is little to none and drags along at a fairly boring rate. It does set up the ending nicely for the final movie but, as a ticket buying public, we should get our moneys worth with this movie too and we simply don't. It is quite depressing and grey throughout. So much so I really missed seeing the Capitol in all its so-called glory where the colour, pomp and ridiculous outfits abound. There is some light comic relief with the ever reliable Effie, Haymitch and a soggy moggy. But, as a fan of the books and the movie series, I really hope the fourth one is a lot better and worth waiting for, not to mention (ok, I realise I am mentioning it), all the money I've already spent.

A thought-provoking and mesmerizing movie that is entertaining to the end.

Il terzo ed ultimo capitolo della saga degli Hunger Games, come ultimamente spesso avviene per tutti gli ultimi capitoli di molte saghe (vedi Harry Potter), è diviso in due parti. Questa prima parte riprende la storia esattamente dove era stata lasciata in La Ragazza di Fuoco, con la protagonista Katniss Everdeen salvata dai ribelli e portata nel Distretto 13, dove deve fare i conti con le trame politiche tessute a sua insaputa, ma soprattutto dove si trova a dover decidere cosa fare della sua immagine di "simbolo della ribellione". Infatti, se nel primo film la protagonista si ribella al sistema, nel secondo inizia a percepire come la sua figura di "Ghiandaia Imitatrice" stia scuotendo gli animi nei vari distretti. Adesso, suo malgrado, deve prendere pienamente coscienza della sua importanza, e accettare il suo ruolo di figura di spicco, se non leader, nella rivoluzione stessa. Intorno a questo nocciolo principale, gravitano le storie personali di tutti i personaggi, che ne definiscono i caratteri e le motivazioni, e vengono introdotti alcuni personaggi nuovi. Senza stare a dilungarsi nella trama, il film, per quanto non brevissimo, ha comunque una sua fluidità, e scivola bene, senza lasciare buchi narrativi importanti, ma facendo restare lo spettatore in attesa di sapere cosa accadrà nella seconda ed ultima parte.
