La BlancaWomen's Standard Island Goddess Banded Hipster Swimsuit Bottom

I have a few suits by this brand. I thought it was going to be a little different color, but I'm happy with it. Comfortable, and it hits right where I wanted it to on my hips. I have a short torso, so I hate high waisted swim suits. This brand is expensive, I'm not sure it is totally worth it, but whatever. For reference, I'm 5'6', 128lbs, size 4 in jeans. I have hips, but no booty.

**edit** I ordered up to a 10 and they are perfect! The most flattering bottoms ever. My body does not look right with high-waisted anything, so if you’re looking for a mid-rise bikini bottom, these are amazing!!I usually wear a 4 or 6, but ordered up to an 8 based on reviews and it’s still a little too small. The waist fits perfect but the legs are so tight it’s uncomfortable, and I have small legs! Ordering a 10 to see if that helps because I really do like these bottoms. They are very flattering and the color is beautiful.

fit as expected and good coverage

I realize that monitors show colors differently, but these are not even CLOSE to the same color. They are almost red. I thought maybe I got the wrong color at first. The top I got them to match is floral, so they still match well enough, that I'll keep them, but only because for some odd reason, the size 10 was only $13. If I'd paid full price for them, they would definitely be going back. As far as the fit, they fit will through the waist, and I like that I can pull the rusched part up a little higher, to cover more belly. The back is very flattering. Some people have said they run 2 sizes too small, but I didn't find that at all. I was really nervous about ordering the 10, because of the other reviews, but they fit well, and I am a pretty solid 9-11 in jrs pants. The elastic is very solidly sewn, so they are a little tight at the legs, and do give me a slight muffing top, but at least they won't sag when they get wet. They're not uncomfortably tight, by any means. If they stretch at all, or if I lose the last inch or 2 I plan to, they'll be perfect. For reference, I'm 5'6" 145, fairly muscular, but with a little pudge around the middle.

I love these bottoms, they are definitely flattering on me. I'm 5'10" so they pretty low on me - def a couple inches below my belly button. I like that they hold their shape - cheap bath suits don't. I have 4 pairs of these and am getting more - 2 pair are 3 years old and still look great. As others have said, definitely order 1-2 sizes up! I'm a pretty solid size 4. Rather straight shape, 27" waist, 34" hips and I wear the 6 - could probably even wear the 8. They cut into my buttcheeks - and I by no means have a big butt, barely have a butt.

The La Blanca swim bottoms run about a size or two small. I wear a 12 in pants and ended up reordering a 16 and they are a perfect fit. They are full coverage and cute! I have several of them in different patterns that match up nicely with my assortment of tops. They are also lined which is nice too.

Once I got the right size I love the way this bikini bottom fits! The extra fabric makes it more versatile and more flattering. I ended up sizing up more than expected. If it wasn't so expensive I'd buy it in several colors.size - for reference I'm 5'4" ~150lbs, pants size ~8 - Originally I bought this in 8 and 10, but found even the 10 was a snug. I sized up to 12, because I wanted a more flattering fit. The 12 might hurt my ego, but it fits perfectly and I love the way it looks. Not so tight that it squeezes in an unflattering way, but not so loose that I feel it'll fall off. Also, I was pleasantly surprised that the larger size was roomier around the hips without being much longer, which is an issue I've often had before.color - This is probably the biggest disappointment for me. I bought the wine red color which looked perfect online, however in person it's actually a bright magenta. I was sure they sent the wrong item, but the tag says "wine", go figure. I really don't like the bright color, unfortunately, and it won't go with the top I wanted to wear it with.Right now I'm deciding what to do - I love the fit, but really don't like the color. Ideally I'd just get another color (colors??), but most other colors are way more expensive.
