I've purchased products from this manufacturer before, and they've worked well enough, so I gave this a go, and it worked awesome! Powered my camera through hours of outdoor winter temps. Definitely worth the money. Fit perfect in the battery slot, and there was a rubber piece to move out of the way on my camera body for the cord to come out so the battery door could close. I was very pleased.

Works for Sony A7 IV, no overheating!
Works great on my Sony A7 IV. Keeps it powered on, doesnt overheat and the cord length is super LONG. Which is nice because sometimes during product shoots I just keep the camera plugged in instead of using the battery.

Works as expected. Has a cutout so you can route the cable out the dummy battery cable hole present on some cameras (like my EOS 6D). Nice long cable, too.

Safe. Does not fry the device.
Just like it says on the tin.I tested the power converter while streaming video over USB on the EOS 6Dii.Ran it for more than an hour.No signs of overheating or overpowering (like the warning regarding USB-C dummy batteries.)[I have not yet tried mechanical shutter, or tethered studio stills.]

Bought this so that our Nikon DSLR could run for a couple hours recording video during an event and not need to worry about the batteries going dead. Works exactly as designed.After using it as needed I also played with plugging the barrel jack into a USB C to barrel jack adapter and running the camera off a large USB power source and that worked too. You could probably combine a decent USB battery bank with it to have constant power even when AC power isn't always available if you're using a Nikon camera as some sort of live stream system.Very impressed, very simple but functional piece of kit.
