pins are not sturdy they bend easily

Chain breaker pin has bent, even when following the written instructions from the manufacturer. The threads on the tool are definitely way too lose and allows the tool to be flimsy, and not accurate when working. Push plate holes aren’t machined correctly and will catch the chain pins. The riveter pin, and spring both jammed themselves inside the push bolt all while following the written instructions, they’re rendered useless since I had to hammer them back out. Tool feels decent in the hand, upon operation though I am not pleased in the slightest. I have to buy another tool from a different manufacturer since I cannot trust this particular tool and do not want to risk catastrophic failure to my machine. Extremely annoying and difficult to try and get refunded as well, so I’m out the money entirely.

Works good for the price. The pin wasn't quite long enough but I made it work. Everything held up nicely. Not sure the clamp hole is suppose to be off set like that either. Worked for me though.

Works great and easy to use. Use this for a gokart chain without any issues

I Broke it the first time I used it. Got the chain broke. And got it fixed. Interested on how the second go will go

This is not a quality tool. I understand that given the price however it’s absolutely atrocious. Sloppy fitment and broke into several piece on first use. I didn’t even use it to break a chain just rivet on link.

Used the Orion Chain Brake Tool Kit on a D.I.D ZVM-X2 530 chain. The kit has all the parts for a wide variety of chain sizes, but I could tell right away it would not break the 530 chain pin. I ended up grinding the head off the chain pin and using the kit to push the pin through. Unfortunately, the breaking pin isn't long enough to push the chain pin all the way through the link and ended up using a punch & hammer to finish.Connecting link press plates were a little awkward to use but they worked well, just make sure you take time to check the link pins are aligned with the plate holes.Riveter pin worked, but on the D.I.D. 530 heavy-duty chain, the Orion tool struggled to rivet the hardened pin and actually bent the C-frame press.As I said, the tool works, but barely. Consider it a one-time use with a high quality 530 chain. I'll look for a better quality next time I replace my chain.
