Some of the oldies, are the best. Great quips and lots of fun with Vince & Pen. Thoroughly enjoyable.

I watched this comedy in the 1980s when it came out. It was delightful then and is still delightful now.When you watch it now, you can see and observe Penny's mother portrayed as the narcissist she is—wonderfully played by the late Sylvia Kay. And the wee madam that is Vince's wife before the divorce. She takes him for all he has got and is only there for the moneyBut true love wins in the end and it was good at the end to see them married - eventuallyWell worth a watch and much better than these new comedies that are around today which are so woke and PCLoved the Christmas special which was effectively a prequel of how they got there and what happened before. Loved seeing 1980s fashion and what happened in those days - it was 40 years ago would you beliveWell worth a watch

Entertaining

My husband & I watched it when it was first on TV.Excellent writing & acting by the whole cast.Funny, poignant, sad. My husband very sadly has passed away I now watch it and it still makes me laugh out loudly. Brings back so many memories. Thank goodness John Sullivan did not end it as intended after the 2nd series. The third series was also excellent and was just as funny.

I watched this when it was on originally in the early 80's with my wife to be. Just as funny now even though I remember what was going to happen as the series is just unforgettable. I totally had the hots for Jan Francis and my wife to be fancied Paul Nicholas. Fantastic writing by John Sullivan and superb acting by all the cast

After years of telling my children that Just Good Friends was the best thing ever on TV, especially the Christmas special. We were left disappointed that the party meeting of Penny and Vince was subtitled. We had to keep reverting back to the copyright foreword to try and understand why this was happening! It would have helped if we had read ROBW's comments before purchasing. I still cannot get to grips with the legalities but surely it is an honour to have your music included in anything John Sullivan writes.However we persevered and it did bring back nostalgic memories to me. Happy days and even better nights when Just Good Friends was on our screens. I've heard the lines a thousand times but they are still make me laugh. My kids are completely taken by the story line. I've warned my girls not to be fooled by a good looking guy with a nice smile. Especially if he's an ice-cream seller!If ever the copywright can be resolved I would certainly pay out again for this particular episode.

This is a quiet comedy and though predictable it is entertaining

A great dvd that arrived very quickly and in perfect condition. It is also in English this is very good. A wonderful series and I would order it again I recommend it
