Bought is as a replacent for my original remote as many of the controls had become too soft and spongy for my arthritic fingers. I assumed it would require some sort of programming so it could 'talk' to my TV but all it needed were the batteries. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend it, particularly to elderly technophobes like me!

Works well with my Sony Bravia 40

I got this remote for an old crt Sony tv, and it works a treat, not all the buttons function, but the main ones do. For me it does the job, so no complaints.

I put the batteries in and it worked immediately with my Sony BRAVIA XR-48A90K - no pairing or pressing of buttons like you have to do with universal remotes. The buttons are not as smooth as a genuine Sony remote but, given the price, it's an ideal extra or replacement remote.
