i have four salt lamps and the springs seem to fall to pieces when i change light bulb the metal parts you push together are very strong so shouldn't break they are that good i am going to buy more for spares very good value for money

The media could not be loaded.  I am very unhappy with product. It tripped my electrical circuit. The bulb shattered into pieces and all I did was switch on for the first. I would never buy something like this again. It was scary.

Bought this to replace the socket fitting in a sallt lamp that had corroded over time. Fitted perfectly, springs are good and strong, cable is good and thick, switch has a good solid movement.However less than an hour after putting one of the supplied bulbs in and inserting the socket, the main fusebox tripped. When I reset the fusebox, everything came on except the salt lamp, the bulb was almost black and the inside of the salt lamp showed signs of scorching. Tried a second bulb and within an hour the same thing happened again. Tried a third bulb, but this time took the socket out of the salt lamp and left the bulb and socket on the kitchen surface just to see what was happening. The bulb was glowing far brighter than I would have expected a 15w bulb to glow. Half an hour later I returned to the kitchen and could spell burning, the bulb had burned as hole in the kitchen surface, and once I'd turned the bulb off and let it cool down, I could see the filaments in the bulb were starting to melt.I tried again, but this time with a bulb (rated 15w the same as those supplied) that I'd bought from HomeBase. Three hours later it was still lit, nowhere near as hot as the supplied bulbs had got. I ended up throwing the bulbs that came with it in the bin.I can't fault the socket, it was just what I needed to get my salt lamp working again, however the only word I can use to describe the bulbs is dangerous. They are marked at 15w but the light and heat they give out is far beyond that, and the fact that the filaments were actually melting is cause for concern.

i fixed my salt lamp and had it plugged in for 20 minutes before i heard a click and the fuse in my electric box went off. when turned back on, the lamp didn’t come back on meaning that it caused the short circuit and was defective.

My lamp was in need of a new fitting. This simply clips in and away you go, so easy! There are 5 bulbs altogether. Happy customer!!

Great to know I could replace my broken lamp fitting and still be able to use my salt lamp. Great value too!

very dangerous overheated tothe point burning smell lamp too hot to touch tripped the electric switch .Wouldn't recommend it
