Q: Hello. Just a simple question.. What is the difference between RED and BLUE Antifreeze?

This can get really complicated there are pages written on this but my info from the FBVHC is BLUE for historic vehicles they use IAT (inorganic additive technology) and are kind to seals and gaskets. Use RED in modern engines as they have been developed since mid 90s an contain OAT (organic acid technology) and are biodegradable and recyclable. Blue loses inhibitor properties after 2 yrs and red (pink and orange) lasts for 5. Make sure you flush system if changing as they do not mix well. Make sure you adhere to manufacturers recommendations. There is a green one which contain HOAT (hybridorganic acid technology) use as per red. It goes a lot deeper than this!

Q: Can I mix this with Honda type 2 coolant to make solution slightly stronger?

This is concentrated ethylene glycol coolant. I have only ever diluted it (with distilled water) to get a less dilute mixture. Sorry, never heard of trying to make it more concentrated.

Q: Why is it recommended that this not used undiluted?

Hi, the water is the component that provides the majority of the cooling, so without diluting, it will not cool as effectively.
